I Already Have Everything I Ever Wanted
Last night, as I was settling into my nightly visualization session, a thought struck me that I really wanted to share. Even after successes in business, family, and life, fears and doubts still find their way in. It's a human thing, right? Our brains, these ancient machines, are wired for survival, always on alert to keep us safe, which means fear and doubt are pretty much built-in features.
Understanding Our Brain’s Wiring
It's fascinating yet challenging how our brains are designed to prioritize survival over everything else. This default setting leads to a constant stream of doubts and fears, no matter the achievements or happiness we experience. It's not just me; it's a universal experience because that's how humans have survived over time.
A Powerful Shift with Visualization
Each night, right before I sleep, I spend 15 minutes visualizing the life I want—not just as a distant dream, but as a current reality. I've always believed in the power of visualization, but recently, a book by Wayne Dyer, You'll See It When You Believe It, deepened my understanding, especially with an interesting insight from Einstein. Einstein suggested that time is merely a construct, a human-made structure to organize our experiences.
Everything Is Already Here
Dyer’s interpretation, which ties into Einstein's idea, hit home for me. He explains that if you can see something in your mind’s eye, it’s not somewhere far off; it's already here. This blew my mind because it shifts everything. My nightly visualizations aren't just hopes; they're acknowledgments of what's already around me. This concept removes the barrier of time—it's not about waiting for life to happen; it’s about realizing it has already happened - you just have to find it. Took me a clone of days of thinking to get my head around this.
Living in the Reality of Now
This realization has been incredibly empowering. Sure, the usual fears and doubts don’t just vanish, but now I see them for what they are: unnecessary noise. Knowing that what I dream of isn’t tied to some future time but is already present and accessible changes how I live day to day.
I’m curious…
Have you ever thought about how the concept of time might be holding you back from realizing that what you want is already within reach? How do you handle the natural fears and doubts that come with chasing big dreams?
