The real question here is: how did I know that it was time for a rebrand? 🤷♀️ Did a magical design fairy visit me in my sleep one evening and whisper the words 'it's go time'? ✨ Well no, not really. But I do have some pretty crazy business related dreams...
Put simply: I knew I had outgrown my current branding. I chose it back when I first started my business, I based it around one Pinterest post and the latest trends. The pink colour? It's not me. I HATE PINK 🤮 There I said it (please don't hate me, pink lovers 🤞). I never liked pink, not even as a child. I think it has something to do with being the first granddaughter on both sides of the family and wearing nothing but pink till age 6...😑
But how did I know I outgrew my brand? And it was time for Ola Digital to level up? Well because I stopped printing business cards... stopped posting 'on brand' imagery here regularly on Instagram.. and have been telling people I don't really don't like my own website for months now 🤦♀️ Talk about a professional faux pas! The signs were clearly there.
So after a lot of encouragement from my closest business friends, pulling together a team of people that I would wholeheartedly trust with my Fiddle Leaf Fig (and yes, brand too) to make it all happen - the rebrand of Ola Digital was brought to life 🎉
A lesson to take from this? Your business branding isn't a 'one and done' thing. You and the team around you are the brand - not the colours or fonts you choose 👏 And trust me, I am a BIG advocate for loving the colours and fonts side of things! It can be daunting, but pivoting your branding to match your new goals, target audience, or direction is always going to be a good idea. Especially if typing a post about it makes you smile (like me right now 😁). Enjoy the weekend fam! x
