Some jobs you are just fortunate to work on. I was asked to operate the camera for the amazing Next In Line Films while they directed and edited. It's always amazing to work in depth with a project with someone and watch the fruits come to life. Phenomenal job with the concept and editing Damo 🤙

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything here — but that’s about to change. Big things are happening, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally let you in on what I’ve been working on. This is a long one, but I hope you’ll stick with me.

Last year, I made the decision to leave my role at Dutch Media/Cogency after more than 11 years. It wasn’t an easy choice — I truly loved my job, the incredible people I worked with, and the friendships I formed there. But I knew it was time. Time to spread my wings, challenge myself in new ways, and reignite the passion and love for what I do.

Since then, I’ve been working — of course — but also working on myself and my business. I’ve taken the time to rebrand my business and reflect deeply on who I am outside of agency life. Who I am as a full-time business owner? How do I want my business to grow? What kind of creative do I want to be? It’s been a journey of self-discovery, full of growth, setbacks, learning curves — and ultimately, clarity.

And now, 10 months later, I’m so proud to officially introduce Collective Studio to the world!

Of course, no journey is ever walked alone. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have the support of some amazing people, and I want to take a moment to thank a few of them.

💛 Blair — my incredible partner. You’ve supported me, encouraged me, and — most importantly — believed in me. Thank you for every compromise, every pep talk, and every moment you stood by me through this journey. I love you, and I’m endlessly grateful.

🎥 Dave from North South Media — a good friend and former work mate. Your belief in me, positivity, and constant encouragement have been awesome. You’ve lifted me when I needed it and reminded me of why I started. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for us both.

🎨 Danielle from Boldly Creative — thank you for your friendship, guidance, encouragement and inspiration. You understood me and my vision so well, and brought my rebrand to life. I absolutely love what you’ve created and can’t wait to see it flourish out in the world, and look forward to working with you more.

To my family and friends — thank you for being my sounding board, my support crew, and for always encouraging me to keep going, even when things felt uncertain. I have so much to be grateful for.

So before we wrap up the week come watch me brave a 4 degree night in nothing but a T Shirt and pants and check out some of the amazing lights at the Albury Aurora Albury light show in AlburyCity.

It was a blast working such an amazing display but with that comes challenges and was thankful to have the Canon C80 to keep the images clean in such a low light situation.

It has been amazing to work with Aurora Albury to create some visuals for their social media recently! It was held at AlburyCity within the Botanical Gardens and is an absolute gem to walk through!

Unfortunately the talent we had lined up were a no show, so I had to get my amazingly talented daughter to step up and she did extremely well in front of the camera for her first time ever!

A little tear in my eye may have dropped. :)

We've been doing stacks of different jobs recently. From TV Commercials to Social media content to more dangerous activities such as on the sidelines of the NRL Victoria Rugby games.

I think he was aiming for me if I am being honest. Luckily I caught it on the ol Insta360.
