Yesterday we had our social bowls with 14 players in attendance and it was good to have a couple of visitors from Yamba on the day many thanks to Paul and Joanne to call in for a game your welcome anytime but in the end it was our barman extrordinar Chris Lawler tying with the young 93 yo Gunter to take the win well done guys 👏 also well done to Wendy Worssell who teamed up with summit bowlers Jamie and Paul Zamprogno and Peter Smith to get 3rd place in the Apple Blossom carnival at the summit well done Wendy and team congratulations 👏 so coming up we have a busy week at our club with social bowls on Tuesday note the new start time of 9.30 then on Thursday our turkey triples proudly sponsored by the Warwick auto group thanks so much for your support guys and we round off the week with our Rose Fiesta carnival next Saturday October 3 a busy week ahead but looking forward to it and if you want to play in our club selected 242 pairs on October 10 and haven't already got your name down please do so ASAP as the teams will be selected later this week for any enquiries please ring Wayne on 0488246871 or Margaret on 0427004226 or for any enquiries regarding club hire please ring Graeme on 0419119487 thankyou and happy bowling 👍

Today we had our 2 bowl triples and we are so grateful for our sponsors for today the bluebird kitchen and smoke house the support is much appreciated and on the green another great day was had and in the end Katie Osborne from the bluebird smoke house was on hand with son Tom to present the awards and it was the team of Ray Southee Nat Kumseewad and Peter Ridgwell coming out on top by 1 point over runner's up Vince Hemming Barry Heffernan and Gary Symonds while Graeme Wallace Colin Mcphane and Chris Stower took out last round winners well done and congratulations to all winners 👏 coming up we have social bowls this Saturday starting at 1 o'clock names in by 12 30 social is also back next Tuesday please note the new start time of 9.30 then our monthly turkey triples is on next Thursday October 1 followed by our Rose Fiesta carnival on October 3 beginning at 9am and all committee members please note that our next meeting has been changed to Monday October 12 at 12.30 followed by a visit from bowls Qld representative Millie Michelle at 3 pm to talk on possible improvements for our club for any enquiries please ring Wayne on 0488246871 or Margaret on 0427004226 or for any enquiries regarding club hire please ring Graeme on 0419119487 thankyou and happy bowling 👍

Great weather but a small number of 8 bowlers for social bowls today due to the southern cross (Pat Gainey shield) being played tomorrow but still some great bowls played and in the end it was the dynamic duo of the day Ed Diery and Julie Foster coming out as joint winners well done guys congratulations 👏 meanwhile at the Goondiwindi triples carnival Kim Hankinson teamed up with Nev Morris and Al Thornton to pick up 3rd place well done again guys 👏so tomorrow we have the southern cross challenge for all Warwick East bowlers involved please arrive at the southern cross by 8.30 for any enquiries please ring Wayne on 0488246871 or Margaret on 0427004226 or for any enquiries regarding club hire please ring Graeme on 0419119487 thankyou and happy bowling 👍

A big thankyou to all who came along today to help out with our working B coring the green and getting some work done on the 2nd green it was much appreciated and also a big thankyou to Julie Foster for bringing in her home made Mulberry pie 😋 for morning tea and then putting on a sausage sizzle for lunch again much appreciated 👍

A small but enthusiastic group of 10 bowlers turned up for our Tuesday social bowls today making 1 rink of triples and one rink of pairs and the triples team of Peter Ridgwell Marlene Hall and Mike Dungey took out the big prize while the pairs team of Jools Buse and Wendy Worssell finished a very close 2nd well done to all winners 👏 coming up this Saturday we have social bowls starting at 1 pm names in by 12 30 then on Sunday the selected teams head up to the southern cross for the club challenge (Pat Gainey shield) then social is back on again next Tuesday with a 10 o'clock start then the 2 bowl triples next Thursday the 24th proudly sponsored by the bluebird smoke house where you can always get a great feed from Jim and Katie and staff and I'll vouch for that 😋 for any enquiries please ring Wayne on 0488246871 or Margaret on 0427004226 or for any enquiries regarding club hire please ring Graeme on 0419119487 thankyou and happy bowling 👍
