It's never been easier or cheaper to have website pages that work...

Here's how to get started:

There are three questions audiences must be able to answer within a few seconds of looking at your landing page or website:

1. What is this person offering?
2. How will it make my life better?
3. What do I need to do to buy it?

Take a look at your page and ask yourself, would someone who knows nothing about you or what you're trying to sell be able to answer these questions quickly?

If they can't, there's a very high chance you’re loosing clients and profit.

Step away from your own viewpoint (it's probably full with bias) and put yourself into your prospective clients shoes, once you've done this you are in a great position to rewrite to suit... you can even get Chat GPT to help you out!

It's never been easier and you don't need to spend tonnes of money hiring designers and copywriters to help you.

Abraham Lincoln famously said “Give me 6 hours to chop down a tree and I'll spend the first 4 sharpening the axe."

Same principle applies to your marketing.

So many people in business think selling a product or service starts with advertising.

It doesn't.

If you want your products and services to do well, you've got to put more effort into the research phase, which in turn, will actually make the advertising and selling MUCH easier!

Instead of rushing into your advertising, try this instead:
Start with your initial idea of how you want to sell and then ask the following clarifying questions:

* Does your product or service have demand and who from? (Your audience)
* Are you creating your message the way your audience needs to hear it?
* Are you identifying potential pain points?
* Who’s your competition and what’s your point of difference?
* How do these sort of products and services generally perform on the various ad platforms?

As you get clarity on these answers, you'll be able to answer the next 3 important questions, which are:

“How much time and money should I invest in promoting this product/service.
“Who should I be targeting?”
“Where are they hanging out?”

What ever you do be deliberately strategic and don't rush into running ads without doing a bit of thinking beforehand.

ChatGPT and all the other AI Chat-Bots that will soon follow represent a quantum leap for user interfaces and it’s just the beginning. We are entering the dawn of having AI assistance at our fingertips which is awesome, but you need to be careful how you form habits around using this and give a lot of thought to how it’s gonna work out for you in the future.

In the Hollywood movie Ironman 3, Tony Stark had to prove he was ironman even without the suit. Once he did this, he was unstoppable. If he’d failed he would’ve ceased to really matter, the suit would become the hero of the story and he would become irrelevant just a body behind an incredible suit.

The same is true of you and AI.

It’s inevitable you’re going to use AI ChatBots to help you write emails, books, form ideas, create social posts and a whole bunch of other stuff.

If you haven’t used ChatGPT before you’re going to be impressed with how it answers your questions. You’ll immediately see how easy it now is to create amazing stuff and you’ll be tempted to excessively use it in a way that literally replaces the need for you to think about creating anything and that’s not good for anyone.

So how are you going to integrate this into your life and workflow without rendering yourself irrelevant?

How are you going to use it and still be the hero of your story?

Here’s the danger - If you’re not careful, it’s just going to be another way of you dialling it in and pretending that you’re showing up and that's not good.

Here’s a few ideas to help you get into the right mindset to set yourself up so that you do remain the hero of your story while enjoying all the benefits of this new dawn of AI.

1. Don’t waste money buying “how to”courses, avoid all the sales pitches, “how to make money with chat GPT”, “ChatGPT CrashCourse”, “Become a chat GPT expert”. you’re gonna see this sort of thing popping up all over the place. Truth is you don’t need it! instead. Just go to chat GPT, they have a training playground where you can try a whole bunch of stuff, it’s got guides, it’s got everything that you need to fully understand how it works and it gives you the chance to play around in a way that’s hands on learning and it’s Free!

2. Train yourself to ask better questions, be specific and really think about how you’re structuring your question and what you want to say and achieve as a result. If you get good at this the results you get are going to be more on point and better for your brand. Just remember if you don’t ask the right question, the answer will be irrelevant. I’m reminded of a quote from hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy. “Only when you know the question, will you know what the answer means.”

3. And the best thing to do, is not lose your skills. Take some time every now and again and actually write it yourself. Take a blank sheet of paper and literally brain dump what you want to say. Don’t worry about the grammar or spelling or anything just get it all out of your head and down onto paper. Next edit it three times, for each edit try to use 50% less words. This is gonna force you to really think about what it is you want to say. It will give you the chance to formulate your words so that you’re clear and your message represents who you really are.

Don’t forget you are the hero of your story don’t get into bad habits and let AI steel your spotlight.

So today in an effort to really help you I am going to take you through the steps to get setup and create a successful ad campaign using Business Manager!

Let's get into it...

First, make sure you have a Facebook account. If you don't, create one. If you do, log in and head over to https://business.facebook.com/. Click on "Create Account" and enter your business name and email address.

Then, follow the prompts to enter your business details, including your business address, phone number, and website.

Don't forget to verify your business with extra documents if needed.

Once your business is verified, you will be taken to your Business Manager dashboard.

Congratulations! You now have your own ad account and pages, as well as a variety of new tools to help you succeed.

To create your first ad campaign, click on the "Ads Manager" tab and then "Create". Choose the "Traffic" objective and give your campaign a relevant name.

Then, target your audience by selecting the right demographics, interests, behaviors, and more. Set your budget and schedule, choose an ad format, and start creating!

Be sure to add eye-catching creative elements, such as images or videos, and make sure your headlines and ad copy are on point.

Finally, pick a destination for people who click on your ad. Will you send them to your website, app, or start a Messenger conversation? The choice is yours. (I like to get the conversation off socials as quickly as possible, but more on that later)

Review your campaign settings, make sure your copy is relevant to your target audience, and then give yourself a pat on the back because you're ready to launch your traffic campaign!

Remember, the success of your ad campaign will largely depend on the quality of your headline and ad copy so make sure your copy is on point and relevant to who you want to attract.

It's hard to build a great relationship using socials alone so its a great idea to figure out how you're going to get the conversation out of social and into the real world.

There are so many ways to do this, the important thing to have in place is a system where people get interested on social media and then move to a platform of your choice.

Should you subscribe and pay for a blue tick with Meta verified?

Here’s what I think…

The first question to ask yourself is: Do I really need to pay a monthly subscription so my friends know it’s me?

If you have a tight group of friends who actually know you then wait and see how this rolls out and re-evaluate at a later date.

If you have a large audience of followers and your reputation and money are at stake then it might be a good idea to get the tick now.

Here’s what Meta say they are offering with this monthly ‘pay to play’ service:

Help your community know it's the real you with a verified badge, which uses a verification process with a government ID to securely establish your account’s authenticity.

Exclusive features
Get exclusive stickers on Facebook and Instagram Stories and Facebook Reels, and 100 Stars a month on Facebook so you can show your support for other creators.

Increased visibility
Expand your reach with increased visibility and prominence in some parts of Instagram and Facebook like comments, search and recommendations.

Proactive account protection
Get protection from impersonation with proactive account monitoring and secure your account with required two-factor authentication.

Get help when you need it from a real person on common account issues that matter to you.

At the moment this service is for individuals not businesses and I think it will be interesting to see if it starts a sort of two-tiered society within Insta and FB.

If so how will Meta manage this?

Will they be like Sylvester McMonkey McBean from the story ‘The Sneetches’ by Dr Suess?

Or will they take a more responsible approach making sure everyone feels equal?
