Sir Graham McCamley 1932 - 2026
Our hearts are heavy my dear friend Graham but our memories are so full of love and unforgettable times and plenty of weekend adventures of escapee cattle!
I met you on my 44th birthday on the Glen Prairie road and I had no idea then the friendship that would follow.
Zach and I spent 6 years living on Bondoola Meadows and there was never a dull moment! Those years hold memories that shaped our lives particularly Zach’s. Countless nights drinking rum around the fire listening to you bring the remarkable stories of your legendary achievements in the Australian cattle industry and aviation to life. Listening to all of your favourite songs. What we would give for one more night around the fire with you 🥲.
The relationship you and Zach shared was so special and I’m so grateful for your friendship support generosity and the spiritual guidance you lovingly showered us with. In your eyes neither Zach or I could ever do anything wrong. You were just forever in our corner. My greatest ally ever!
You did give Zach a chainsaw when he was 11 😳 (which you convinced me was a good idea )to help him chop through the wood for the nightly fires quicker. You were always so confidant in his abilities and he loved preparing all the firewood and going out with you to find the perfect trees.
Of all the photos these are my favourites particularly the photo of you and I at the Marlborough Hotel celebrating the sale of Glen Prairie.
Zach and I miss you Graham we love you we thank God for you and we are so comforted that you are reunited with your beloved Lady Shirley ♥️ But we wish you were still here 💔😭
