I am incredibly proud that this theater performance is coming to Sarajevo!
"One Way Ticket" - Nick Teunissen & Combo
Saturday, 18th of May at 6 pm, Museum Tunnel of Hope Sarajevo
Sunday, 19th of May, at 8 pm, Sarajevo War Theatre SARTR
The Dutch actor and director Nick Teunissen is coming to Sarajevo with his theatrical play "One Way Ticket”. Theater critics in the Netherlands awarded this performance with 4-stars, calling it "a tribute to the optimism and lust for life of the citizens of Sarajevo”. This performance is the personal story of Ismir Hero and his family.
At the end of 1994, the twenty-year-old Ismir went through the Tunnel of Hope and found his new home in the Netherlands. In the following years, Ismir builds a successful career as a television director.
A few years ago, Nick met Ismir and learned about his war and postwar life story. They became inseparable in Ismir's personal struggle with the past and the present. From that moment on Nick visits Sarajevo on a regular base, calling the city his second home.
“One Way Ticket” is about the war and post-war battles with the war. About hope and optimism, scars and love. About unbreakable relationships with your birthplace, lost identity and perseverance.
The international premiere of “One Way Ticket” will be performed precisely at the spot that changed Ismir's life 25 years ago... Above the Tunnel of Hope, which is a museum nowadays. On Saturday 18 May at 6 pm.
A day later, the theatrical play moves to a special location in the center of the city, renowned SARTR: Sarajevo War Theater. Sunday 19 May at 8 p.m.

Who is Fixer Sarajevo
Looking for a fixer for a news report, tv-show, documentary or commercial in the Balkans? I am sure I can help you out.
My name is Ismir Hero. I have more than 25 years of experience as a director and producer. Mainly in the Netherlands and in the Balkans.
As a Dutch-Bosnian I know from my own experience how important it is to be able to count on a good fixer and local producer who can bring both worlds together.
Since 2016 I live and work permanently in Sarajevo again. Since then I have been able to support many productions as a fixer, local producer and translator. From news reports for VOA News, NOS Journaal or SVT Nyheter to documentaries of Danish broadcaster DR and Dutch broadcasters KRO-NCRV, Omroep MAX and EO, but also research for the newspaper De Volkskrant.
Thanks to my wide network I provide you with the right people, information, translation, equipment, shooting location, accommodation and other necessities during your stay.
I know my way around locations, and I have entrance to the sources you need in Balkans.
