When the fullness of time comes, you either give birth to what you're pregnant with or risk that thing dying in you and taking you along with it. I decided to push myself beyond my comfort level and release this program to a room of executive directors, their PROs and entepreneurs at my recently hosted workshop seminar. A few snap shots from those in the audience but will share more professional coverage later and more on the upcoming training.

When you work without anticipation of recognition, the acknowledgement of what you've accomplished causes you to begin to audit the work you've done in the past to justify such an attribution. I was pleasantly surprised and honored to have received this award at the launch of The Caribbean Office of The Organisation for Human Rights Defence with Headquarters in Romania under ECOSOC UN.

It's been a minute, and then some since I posted or shared something here. I wear many hats and one such hat has me in the throes of ex*****on, but I have been in the trenches planning a major investment summit for Upturn Funds, happening in Barbados August 25 - 27 at the Hilton Barbados Resort.

From organising stakeholder meetings with global investors, major corporations, regional government officials, U.S. Congressmembers' office (keynote speakers) and other featured speakers, sponsorship acquisition and private sector meetings, news media coverage, among other major responsibilities, my plate has been full.

I recently planned and hosted the launch of Upturn Funds Caribbean Investment Summit Press Conference and launch. Link in bio

Had to get behind the camera to record some Summit promotion videos, as a communications professional it's my least favourite thing to do. It could be frustratingly humorous. After about six takes it came out pretty good.🗣🎥😄

Life of a PR, Communications professional.

Learn more about the conference here at www leadershipaxeheadconference.com

I'll be posting more about this global event in the coming days.

Sometimes leaders allow situations "to work themselves out" meanwhile the ice is cracking beneath.
This, unfortunately, is when the component of PR is taken seriously, because PR is suppose to swoop in and be "the fixer" of the factors, that result in the now visible cracked ice, that leaders turned a blind eye to, waiting for the problem to work itself out.

With thousands of and reaching journalists each day, there's no guarantee your important news will be picked up. Everyone's working on the perfect headline and the perfect hook. How about your own customer base, pitching to them instead -- with some and social media creativity, you can create enough buzz around your product launch, activity or cause that will likely see your efforts being picked up by said media.

Worst case - you're not covered by the media, on the flip side your target audience already has direct access to your news and is already somewhere in the sales or communication funnel leading to a decision.

To all women that keep showing up in the face of adversity, I see you! Continue to be resolute and unshakable, your resilience inspires me.

Let's show up everyday so together we can collectively create fissures in a system that perpetuates biases of all kinds against women.

I have a dream that one day those fissures we create in our individual spheres of life will morph together - because breaking the bias is not a one-off event, it's something you have to do everyday by making your mark in society, making an impact (a fissure) in your individual sphere of influence.

Yes, let's keep showing up and together " !
