🏛️ A Legacy of Impact: Founder of BRIT (20 Years)
In 2006, Ashekin founded the Bangladesh Resource Improvement Trust (BRIT). Under his leadership, BRIT has evolved from a local initiative into a powerhouse of sustainable development, partnering with global giants like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UKAID, World Vision, FHI360, WSUP UK, Global One UK, AKF UK & More.

উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলের স্বাস্থ্য ক্যাম্প থেকে শুরু করে জাতিসংঘের উচ্চপর্যায়ের নীতি নির্ধারণী সভা— রাহাতুল আশেকিন গত দুই দশক ধরে সামাজিক পরিবর্তনের অগ্রভাগে নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছেন। মাত্র ১৬ বছর বয়সে যার যাত্রা শুরু হয়েছিল, আশেকিন আজ তৃণমূলের অভিজ্ঞতা আর বৈশ্বিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গির এক অনন্য সমন্বয়।

২০০৬ সালে রাহাতুল আশেকিন প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন বাংলাদেশ রিসোর্স ইমপ্রুভমেন্ট ট্রাস্ট (BRIT)। তার দূরদর্শী নেতৃত্বে ‘ব্রিট’ আজ একটি শক্তিশালী উন্নয়ন সংস্থায় পরিণত হয়েছে। বিল অ্যান্ড মেলিন্ডা গেটস ফাউন্ডেশন, UKAID, ওয়ার্ল্ড ভিশন, FHI360 এবং গ্লোবাল ওয়ান ইউকে-র মতো বিশ্বখ্যাত প্রতিষ্ঠানের সাথে অংশীদারিত্বের মাধ্যমে এই সংস্থা কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।
ব্রিট (BRIT)-এর উল্লেখযোগ্য সাফল্য:
জলবায়ু ও দুর্যোগ: ২০০৬ সাল থেকে প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগে প্রথম সাড়াদানকারী দল হিসেবে নেতৃত্ব প্রদান এবং জলবায়ু অভিযোজনে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা।
ওয়াস (WASH) ও জনস্বাস্থ্য: টেকসই পানি ও স্যানিটেশন অবকাঠামো নির্মাণ এবং কোভিড-১৯ মহামারীতে সম্মুখ সারির যোদ্ধা হিসেবে কাজ করা।
যুব ও সামাজিক সুরক্ষা: কারিগরি প্রশিক্ষণ ও কর্মসংস্থানের সমন্বয় এবং এতিম শিশুদের সামগ্রিক যত্ন নিশ্চিত করা।
সামাজিক উদ্ভাবন: স্বনির্ভর ব্যবসায়িক মডেল তৈরি করা, যার মুনাফা পুনরায় জনকল্যাণে ব্যয় হয়।

আশেকিনের প্রভাব জাতীয় সীমানা ছাড়িয়ে আন্তর্জাতিক পরিমণ্ডলে বিস্তৃত। জাতিসংঘের গ্লোবাল ইয়ুথ অ্যাডভোকেট হিসেবে তিনি ‘এজেন্ডা ২০৩০’ গঠনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন।

জাতিসংঘ পলিসি অ্যান্ড স্ট্র্যাটেজি গ্রুপের সদস্য হিসেবে তিনি আন্তর্জাতিক কাঠামোর সাথে তৃণমূল পর্যায়ের সেতুবন্ধন তৈরি করেছেন।
কমনওয়েলথ ইয়ুথ কাউন্সিল (C*C): মিডিয়া ও কমিউনিকেশন চেয়ারম্যান হিসেবে তিনি ১২০ কোটি তরুণের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেছেন এবং কমনওয়েলথভুক্ত দেশগুলোতে যুবকদের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ নিশ্চিত করতে কাজ করেছেন।
🚜 সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতা ও উদ্যোক্তা
২০১৮ সালে আশেকিন টেকসই প্রবৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে একটি FMCG রপ্তানিমুখী প্রতিষ্ঠান চালু করেন। "ট্রিপল বটম লাইন" (মানুষ, পৃথিবী ও মুনাফা) দর্শনের ওপর ভিত্তি করে এটি পরিচালিত হয়:
মানুষ: কৃষকদের ন্যায্য জীবিকা নিশ্চিত করা।
পৃথিবী: পরিবেশবান্ধব কৃষি পদ্ধতি অনুসরণ।
মুনাফা: দীর্ঘমেয়াদী সামাজিক প্রভাব নিশ্চিত করতে অর্থনৈতিক স্থিতিশীলতা।
🎤 বহুমুখী কর্মজীবন ও অভিজ্ঞতা
আশেকিনের পথচলা বৈচিত্র্যময় এবং মানুষের সাথে গভীর আত্মিক সম্পর্কের সুতোয় গাঁথা:
স্বেচ্ছাসেবার শুরু: মাত্র ১৬ বছর বয়সে ঘূর্ণিঝড়কবলিত উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলে স্বাস্থ্য ক্যাম্প আয়োজনের মাধ্যমে তার যাত্রা শুরু।
গণমাধ্যম ও ক্রীড়া: ২০০৬-২০১১ পর্যন্ত রেডিও টুডে (৮৯.৬ এফএম)-এ রেডিও জকি, এডিটর ও প্রডিউসার হিসেবে পরিচিত মুখ ছিলেন। এছাড়া ২০১১ আইসিসি বিশ্বকাপ ইভেন্ট কো-অর্ডিনেটর এবং বিপিএল-এর তিনবারের চ্যাম্পিয়ন ‘ঢাকা গ্ল্যাডিয়েটরস’-এর হেড অফ অপারেশনস হিসেবে ক্রীড়া ব্যবস্থাপনায় নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছেন।
বৈশ্বিক নাগরিক: তিনি ৩৫টিরও বেশি দেশ ভ্রমণ করেছেন এবং ২৮টিরও বেশি আন্তর্জাতিক যুব সম্মেলনে বাংলাদেশের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে বৈশ্বিক অভিজ্ঞতাকে দেশের মাটিতে কাজে লাগাচ্ছেন।
রাহাতুল আশেকিন প্রমাণ করেছেন যে, তারুণ্যের উদ্দীপনা আর পেশাদারিত্বের সমন্বয় ঘটলে কী অভাবনীয় পরিবর্তন সম্ভব। তিনি কেবল আগামীর নেতা নন, বরং বর্তমানের একজন পরীক্ষিত রূপকার।
