URGENT COMMUNITY NOTICE
Date: 08 July 2026
Temporary Closure of Educational Interventions Due to Heavy Rainfall

In light of the ongoing heavy rainfall, the increased risk of landslides, flooding, and other weather-related hazards in the camps, the United Council of Rohingya-UCR respectfully requests all community members to prioritize safety and take necessary precautions.
As a preventive measure, all educational interventions at Maktabs, Madrasas, Community Learning Centres, tuition classes, and other informal learning spaces are requested to remain temporarily closed for the next few days until weather conditions improve.
Community-based Schools, Maktabs, Madrasas, teachers, education volunteers, religious leaders, and individuals implementing educational activities are respectfully requested to temporarily close the interventions and keep all learning facilities closed until further notification or guidance is received from the relevant authorities and stakeholders.�This request is made solely in the interest of protecting lives and reducing risks during the ongoing severe weather conditions.
Further updates and guidance will be shared as the situation develops.
May Allah protect everyone and keep our community safe.

On 20th June 2026, the UCR-Youth & Student Committee held a discussion under the United Council of Rohingya-UCR regarding the current situation in the camps.

The meeting focused on identifying key challenges faced by the community and clarifying the main responsibilities of the camp’s basic committee.

It was a constructive session aimed at strengthening coordination, improving community support, and enhancing the effectiveness of committee roles within the camp.

Today 19th June 2026, The UCR-Youth & Student Committee under the United Council of Rohingya-UCR recently convened a meeting at the Camp 1E CIC Office, Darbal Hall.

During the session, members engaged in meaningful discussions regarding their core responsibilities and explored ways to effectively contribute to the development and well-being of the Rohingya community.

The meeting brought together dedicated youths from various camps under the UCR Youths and Students Committee, fostering collaboration, shared understanding, and a unified vision for community service.

Overall, it was a highly productive and insightful gathering.

It was a truly productive discussion with youths from different camps under the UCR-Youth & Student Committee.

They shared their opinions, and we explained the roles and regulations of UCR.

We valued the youths, as they are the foundation of the Rohingya community.

The UCR-Youth & Student Committee
President Panel, EC and Sub-Committee held a strong and meaningful discussion to ensure active participation in all upcoming activities and responsibilities.

During the meeting, members emphasized the importance of teamwork, commitment, and clear communication to move forward effectively.

Everyone agreed to take shared responsibility, contribute their ideas, and support each other in achieving common goals.

The discussion also focused on creating a proactive environment where each member plays an active role in planning, decision-making, and implementation.

Through unity and dedication, the panel and committee are determined to work forward with strength and purpose for the betterment of the community.
