Hey everyone! Letโs take a look at how to select keywords for the tag box of YouTube video.
Letโs assume I am a travel vlogger, and I have traveled to Switzerland and recorded my video in 8K 60fps mode, then uploaded it to my YouTube channel. Since many travel vloggers have already uploaded Switzerland travel videos on YouTube, they are my ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐. So, the first step I need to take is competitor analysis.
To start, I simply search on YouTube using the keyword With the help of the VidIQ tool, I can see that this keyword has a good overall score. After searching with this keyword, I target the ๐๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ณ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐๐ผ ๐ณ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ผ๐ appearing in the search results.
Using the VidIQ tool, I can analyze these videos and clearly see which tags or keywords the YouTubers used in the ๐ง๐ฎ๐ด ๐๐ผ๐
while uploading their videos. At the same time, I can view the overall score of each keyword and also understand which specific keywords are helping those videos ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ธ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ in YouTube search results.
By analyzing several competitor videos this way, I research their tags and identify multiple strong and relevant keywords. During competitor-based tag research, my main focus is on those keywords that are helping a Keeping this principle in mind, I first make a list of all such keywords that can be relevant for my own video.
After listing them, I carefully analyze which keywords have comparatively ๐ต๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐บ๐ฒ and comparatively ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป. These keywords then become the most suitable options to use as tags for my video.
๐ In the next post, I will ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ show you how to do tag research based on this method.
