Boosting 101: What I Learned from LinkedIn's On-Demand Webinar
Just wrapped up a 50-minute LinkedIn webinar on Boosting 101—and while the fundamentals of boosting are similar across platforms, LinkedIn has its own key differences.
I took some notes and wanted to share them with you so you can get all the insights in one go.
Best Practices for Boosting on LinkedIn
- Complete Your LinkedIn Page – Make sure your LinkedIn Page is complete. Pages with complete information get 30% more weekly views.
- Post daily for organic reach – It’s recommended that you build an effective organic strategy by posting once a day to stay top of mind with your audience.
- Boost on weekdays – Since LinkedIn is a B2B platform, schedule your boost to start on a weekday. In general, avoid weekends and major holidays.
- Target a broad audience – Don't make your audience too small. Your audience should be at least 50K or more to make it worth your while.
- Set a lifetime budget and schedule – Start with $25/day and run the boost for 1-2 weeks for optimal results.
What Metrics Matter?

- More engagement? → I want people to get involved: Engagement Measures how many members are liking, commenting and sharing your post. Click-through Rate.
