Sutopati — Brand Identity Design
Sutopati is an imaginary contemporary fashion brand inspired by the beauty of Bengali craftsmanship, traditional textile culture, stitching, and the everyday charm of handmade details.
For this project, I developed a complete visual identity for Sutopati, including the logo, color palette, typography, brand pattern, business card, packaging, and other brand applications.
The core concept of the identity revolves around “Suto” (thread) and “Pati” (woven/made with thread). I incorporated Bengali typography with a button and thread-inspired visual element to create a distinctive logo that reflects the brand’s connection to fabric, stitching, and craftsmanship. The stylized “স” is designed to resemble a flowing thread, while the button element adds a subtle representation of sewing and handmade fashion.
The visual language combines deep burgundy, warm peach, cream, and black, creating a balance between traditional Bengali aesthetics and a modern fashion-forward personality. Custom patterns inspired by interwoven threads were also developed to maintain consistency across the brand applications and packaging.
This project was created as part of my Fourth Year Final Project in Graphic Design, focusing on developing a cohesive and meaningful brand identity from concept to application.
