Tesla is officially preparing to launch its Robotaxi service in the San Francisco Bay Area starting this weekend (July 25, 2025) marking one of the boldest steps yet in the future of autonomous transportation.

According to internal reports and sources from Business Insider and Reuters, the pilot will include:

🔹 Invite-Only Access: The service will initially be available only to a select group of Tesla owners
🔹 Paid Rides: Unlike earlier tests, passengers will pay for their rides — similar to traditional ride-hailing apps
🔹 Geofenced Zones: The service will operate in defined zones across San Francisco, Marin County, East Bay, and as far south as San Jose
🔹 Safety Staff Onboard: A Tesla employee will ride in the passenger seat, not the driver’s seat, to monitor the ride
🔹 Not Fully Driverless (Yet): Tesla doesn’t yet have final approval for unsupervised autonomous vehicles in California
🔹 Platform Expansion: This rollout follows a similar pilot program that began in Austin, Texas just last month

Unlike Waymo and Cruise, which already operate fully autonomous robotaxis in SF, Tesla’s approach relies solely on its camera-based Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, without LiDAR or radar — a strategy that’s as ambitious as it is controversial.

Why It Matters:
This marks Tesla’s first real-world step toward Elon Musk’s vision of AI-powered Robotaxi fleets replacing traditional car ownership. If successful, this could reshape not just ride-sharing — but how we think about cars, mobility, and urban planning.

But there's a catch:
Regulatory scrutiny is still high. California’s DMV and CPUC have raised concerns, and Tesla has yet to obtain a full driverless deployment permit in the state.

WhatsApp can now become your walkie-talkie, which you can use to send short voice messages to your family, friends, and even colleagues. The Meta-owned chat app has rolled out a new Voice Chat feature that lets you record short and instant voice messages and drop them in real-time as part of a group chat without having to make it look like an official voice call. Voice Chat lets you start a voice-based conversation with members of a group of any size without ringing them.

What is WhatsApp Voice Chat?
Anyone can start a voice chat by swiping from the bottom of a chat and holding for a few seconds — just like you would hold a button to speak on a walkie-talkie — and release when you are done recording your message. “Starting a voice chat doesn’t notify or ring anyone, so that people can join and leave the hangout whenever,” said WhatsApp. The voice chats are pinned to the chat, so people who could not join the conversation can attend them later. These members can also start a voice chat anytime by following up on chats. Since the voice chats are exchanged in real time, it is easy for group members to hold a conversation about any topic without breaks.

How to use WhatsApp Voice Chat
Open a group and move your thumb or finger to the bottom of the chat, where the message box is. Now, swipe up. Doing that will tell you to keep holding to start a voice chat. When you keep holding for a few seconds, the voice chat is triggered, putting you on a voice line in the group. But this will not automatically notify other group members. WhatsApp will show an option to nudge by sending a wave. Participants can join the voice chat if they want, enter or exit it as they please. WhatsApp says voice chats are end-to-end encrypted just like text messages and voice calls.

South Korean smartphone giant Samsung seems to be leading in the foldable OLED display market. The company, on Wednesday, July 23, announced that its latest foldable OLED panel stays intact even after a 500,000-fold durability test.

The OLED panel was tested by Bureau Veritas, a certification company. Samsung Displays raised its internal durability testing standard from 200,000 to 500,000 folds, which is two times more than their previous benchmark. The OLED panel used for this testing is built into the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

This exceptional durability is made possible by the Samsung display’s newly developed architecture that is shock resistant and is inspired by the core principles of bulletproof glass, which increases the lifespan of foldable devices. This test was conducted by Bureau Veritas, where they mentioned that over the span of 13 days at 25°C, the panel remained fully functional even after 500,000 folds.

Elon Musk has just built a monster supercomputer, Colossus 2 in just 19 days

Yes, you read that right. His AI company xAI is moving at a pace the world hasn’t seen before.
From launching rockets to building the future of artificial intelligence Musk is now fully committed to the AI race.
Here’s what’s happening:

🔹 Colossus 2: A cutting-edge supercomputer infrastructure — built to train next-gen AI like Grok.
🔹 $2 Billion investment from SpaceX
🔹 $35 Billion more planned in the near future
🔹 Objective? 👉 Take on giants like OpenAI & Google.

Once skeptical about AI’s risks, Musk is now determined to build it better.
With Grok already integrated into X (formerly Twitter), and now with Colossus 2 powering the backend xAI is turning into a serious contender in the global AI war.

The future of AI isn’t just about code — it’s about compute power, scale, and who moves fastest.
And Elon Musk? He’s not waiting.

⚔️ The AI war has begun.
