We recently had the privilege of hosting Sylvana Quader Sinha at Baridhara HQ for the Levrg Leadership Series. 🚀

Sylvana’s career spans Wellesley, Columbia Law, Harvard, the World Bank, and Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign. But it was her 11-year journey founding Praava Health, building a platform that has served over a million patients, that offered our team a true masterclass in scaling in complex markets.

Building a business in complex markets takes a rare mix of grit, vision, and ex*****on. That is why we are so excited for the next edition of the Levrg Leadership Series this coming Tuesday at HQ. 🚀

We are hosting Sylvana Quader Sinha, a globally recognized entrepreneur, investor, and leader who has spent her career building and scaling high-impact organizations across emerging and global markets.

Sylvana is the Founder and Chair of Praava Health, which she led as CEO for nearly eleven years, turning it into Bangladesh’s leading integrated healthcare platform serving around one million patients. Her work with Praava has been recognized by the World Economic Forum and Fast Company, and studied as a case study at both Harvard and Columbia Business Schools.

Beyond Praava, her career spans work with BCG, PwC, the UN, the World Bank, and serving as a foreign policy advisor on Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Today, she serves on the board of PATH.org, mentors entrepreneurs at Harvard and Columbia, and helps executive teams navigate growth using her own leadership frameworks. 💯

Yesterday we wrapped up another session of the Levrg Leadership Series at HQ with Zaved Parvez, and honestly, the whole room was locked in from start to finish. 🚀

Zaved spent a lot of time breaking down how we talk to each other at work, and he re-framed communication in a way that hit home for a lot of us.

Three main takeaways really stuck with the squad:

First, disagreement doesn't automatically mean someone is wrong. Having different views in a room isn't a conflict, it's just how you unpack a problem to find the right answer.

Second, good feedback is a necessity, not a luxury. If a team wants to keep growing, honest and constructive communication has to be a regular habit.

Third, negative feedback is a lot like getting an injection. It stings for a second, and it might not feel great at the moment. But it doesn't mean you're bad at what you do or that you're a bad fit. It just means a specific situation needs attention, and the feedback is there to make you stronger for the long run.

It was one of those sessions where everyone walked out looking at their daily interactions a little differently.

A massive thank you to Zaved Parvez for making the trip to Baridhara, keeping it completely real with us, and giving our team such a solid perspective to take into our work. 💯
