“আমি একজন বাংলাদেশি। আমি কোনো সেনা নই, কোনো কূটনীতিক নই। আমি একজন সাধারণ তরুণ—যে এই উপমহাদেশে শান্তিতে বাঁচতে চায়।
ভারত আর পাকিস্তান—তোমরা যুদ্ধ করো, আর মরতে থাকে আমাদের মতো সাধারণ মানুষ। বোমা ফাটে সীমান্তে, কিন্তু তার কম্পন পৌঁছে যায় ঢাকার ঘরে, লাহোরের মায়ের চোখে, কাশ্মীরি শিশুর মুখে।
তোমরা বলো, ‘ন্যায় চাই’, ‘প্রতিশোধ চাই’।
কিন্তু আমরা চাই জীবন।
কোনো মায়ের কোল খালি না হোক, কোনো শিশুর মুখ থেকে খাবার না হারাক, আর কোনো যুবকের চোখে স্বপ্ন না পোড়ে—এই হোক আমাদের দাবি।
বাংলাদেশ শান্তির পক্ষে, মানবতার পক্ষে। আমরা চাই না এই উপমহাদেশে আর একটি যুদ্ধ হোক।
চলো, এবার শুধু অস্ত্র না, আলোচনাও হোক।
চলো, এবার বিজয়ের গান নয়, মানবতার জয় হোক।

Bombs explode at the borders,

Let no mother’s arms be empty.
Let no child lose their food.
Let no youth see their dreams burn—
this is our demand.
Bangladesh stands for peace, for humanity.
We do not want another war in this subcontinent.
Let it not just be weapons this time—let it be words.
Let it not be a song of victory—but a triumph of humanity.”
