How I Fix Website Indexing Issues for Fresh Websites

One of the most common questions I hear when someone launches a new site is:

👉 “Why isn’t my website showing up on Google?”

I’ve worked on this issue many times, and here’s the exact process I follow:

🔹 Step 1: Check WordPress Settings
✅ Go to Settings → Reading and make sure “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” is unchecked.
✅ Review Robots.txt & Noindex Tags – ensure important pages are not blocked or accidentally set to noindex.

🔹 Step 2: Set Up Google Search Console (GSC)
A lot of fresh websites skip this step – but without it, Google doesn’t even know your site exists.
✔️ Add your site to Google Search Console
✔️ Submit your sitemap
✔️ Request indexing for important pages

💡 At this stage, I also check for errors like “Crawled - currently not indexed” or “Blocked by robots.txt.”
