Still using a JPG logo for everything? That could become a problem when production starts.
A JPG logo can be perfectly fine for a website, email, social media post, or other screen-based uses. But when you need to enlarge that same artwork for a sign, banner, apparel, embroidery, or professional printing, its limitations become much more noticeable.
Why?
JPG is a raster image made from pixels. When you enlarge it beyond its original resolution, those pixels become visible and the artwork can lose sharpness.
A properly created vector file, such as an AI file, works differently. Vector artwork is built from paths, curves, and shapes rather than fixed pixels, allowing the artwork to scale without the same pixelation associated with raster images.
But there is an important distinction:
Simply converting a JPG into a vector format doesn't automatically make it good vector artwork.
A professional Raster to Vector process requires careful recreation of the original shapes, curves, proportions, and details to create clean, editable, and print-ready artwork.
That is why businesses, print shops, sign companies, embroidery shops, apparel brands, and agencies often need a reliable vector logo instead of depending on a low-resolution JPG.
