🌱 Joint Policy ➡️ Driving the Future of Europe’s Rural Bioeconomy 🌱

We’re excited to share that MainstreamBIO Project has teamed up with RuralBioUp, SCALE-UP project, and BioRural to develop a joint policy paper that offers key evidence and recommendations to strengthen the EU’s bioeconomy strategy.

This paper reflects a collaborative process involving hundreds of stakeholders , highlighting four priority areas:

🌾 Empowering primary producers and biomass mobilization
⚖️ Enhancing policy coherence with EU sustainability agendas

🌿 Μay was a really important month for MainstreamBIO Project‼️

Last May, we celebrated two major milestones:

✅ Co-hosted the European Rural Circular Bioeconomy Conference ( ) in Brussels🇧🇪, alongside 5 fellow Horizon Europe projects. With 150+ participants, 2 days of exchange, and inspiring sessions, the event was a success!
✅ Held our final meeting, bringing the consortium together to plan our final actions before wrapping up in August.

As we move into the final month of our project, we remain focused on mainstreaming small-scale bio-based solutions across Europe. 🇪🇺💡🌱

📢 MainstreamBIO’s Final Event at the European Rural Circular Bioeconomy Conference ‼️🌿

On May 13th, 2025, MainstreamBIO Project will host its final as part of the European Rural Circular Bioeconomy Conference, co-organized with ROBIN and SCALE-UP’s final events.

This two-day is a unique collaboration between six Horizon Europe projects - MainstreamBIO Project, ROBIN project, SCALE-UP project, BioRural, , and RuralBioUp - all working towards advancing the rural bioeconomy in . 🤝
