MUSIC FRIENDS! Let me introduce you to:
Halflife Studios (by Atomic Design Co.)
For a long time, I tried to keep everything under one name. Atomic Design Co. Corporate branding on one side, artwork for bands and the music world on the other. In reality, those two worlds don’t overlap nearly as much as you’d expect.
Designing for companies is about consistency, clarity, and long-term systems. Designing for bands is often something else entirely. It’s about mood, genre, context, and understanding the culture around the music. You’re not just solving a business problem, you’re shaping how something sounds, feels, and lives visually.
Keeping both together created confusion. Corporate clients didn’t realise I was doing artwork for bands. People in the music industry often assumed I was solely focused on corporate branding. That gap became impossible to ignore.
Halflife Studios is the result of that decision.
It’s a dedicated space for music-related design: band identities, album artwork, tour visuals, merch and t-shirt design, posters, and everything around a release or a live show. No more crossover assumptions. I will also be releasing some of my more personal work and merchandise under that name, maybe in the form of stickers, t-shirts, not entirely sure yet, but I’m stoked to plunge in.
Same designer.
Different focus.
For the bands.
For the music.
