Iran has said it will establish technical committees to oversee the implementation of a memorandum of understanding, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry said the joint statement issued by Pakistan and Qatar carries “special importance,” highlighting plans to create a supervisory committee to monitor implementation of the agreement.
Tehran said a formal mechanism will be set up to follow up on the first clause of the memorandum related to Lebanon, describing it as a key development in the process.
It added that technical delegations will continue their work under Article 12 of the agreement, as part of ongoing implementation efforts.
The foreign ministry also said discussions included oil sales, export exemptions, and the release of Iranian funds, noting that measures have already been taken to facilitate implementation.
Officials emphasized that the principle guiding the process is “commitment for commitment” between the involved parties.
Iran said working groups and negotiations toward a conditional agreement depend on the implementation of several clauses, including clauses one, four, five, ten, and eleven of the memorandum.
