There are two main strategies used by companies for customer prospecting: inbound and outbound.

While inbound seeks to attract potential customers through customized and targeted content to ICPs (ideal customer profiles), outbound uses contact data obtained from prospecting lists (manually assembled or purchased) to directly contact buyers and offer a solution to a problem they have.
