After days of fast-paced, highly competitive 3x3 basketball, the tournament came to a close in Botswana with Egypt crowned the overall winners. But beyond the results, the tournament was a meeting point for Africa's young basketball talent, different nations, different styles, different experiences, all sharing the same court.

There was competition, but there was also connection. Skills were exchanged, ideas travelled, friendships were formed, and the game became bigger than the scoreboard. One in maroon, the other in red. Two institutions built around discipline, structure, physicality and an expectation to compete.

That is what makes this rivalry different. They understand each other because, in many ways, they are built from the same material. Both know what it means to operate under pressure.
