Botswana’s creative industry has reached another milestone with the official launch of Kgosi Studios, a 100% citizen-owned multimedia production company founded by internationally award-winning film producer Lesedi Bryan Mpabanga.

Officially unveiled at its state-of-the-art facility in Broadhurst Industrial, the studio is designed as a one-stop creative hub, offering video production, photography, podcast recording, drone services, graphic design, and event coverage.

The launch brought together government officials, industry leaders, artists, and members of the media to celebrate a new chapter for Botswana’s growing creative economy.

Speaking at the launch, Mpabanga described Kgosi Studios as more than a production house, saying it is a space where creatives can develop their craft while providing businesses with world-class multimedia solutions.

He expressed his vision of creating a platform where talent, innovation, and storytelling thrive.

The event was attended by representatives from the Departments of Arts and Culture and Sports and Recreation, highlighting the increasing recognition of the creative sector as an important contributor to Botswana’s cultural identity and economic diversification.

With its world-class facilities and ambitious vision, Kgosi Studios is poised to become a leading destination for creative talent, empowering local storytellers while positioning Botswana as a competitive player in the global creative industry.
