It is a painful, upside-down reality that many courageous professionals know all too well: when you tell the truth in a toxic workplace, you become the problem. Instead of addressing the issue you bravely exposed, the system turns on you, labeling you as "not a team player" or a disruption to the peace.

This is the ultimate defensive reflex of an outdated "command and control" culture. In these rigid environments, protecting the status quo and a polished corporate image is valued far above honesty. Transparency is feared because it threatens top-down authority, forcing brilliant people to hide flaws just to survive.

But true leadership demands a completely different path—one where we choose to "care and connect".

When you build an ecosystem rooted in authentic connection, truth is never treated as a threat; it is welcomed as a catalyst for growth. Leaders who care understand that psychological safety is the foundation of innovation. They create spaces where integrity is rewarded, vulnerabilities are shared, and people can speak up without fear of retaliation.

Are you ready to break the silence and build a transparent culture where truth heals instead of hurts? Order copies of my book, The Blueprint of Leadership, on Amazon for your entire team today, and lead the shift toward an authentic workplace.

A dangerous man rarely relies on talent alone. He studies the game before he ever steps onto the field. He learns the rules, the patterns, the mistakes everyone else keeps repeating, then he quietly prepares until his confidence is backed by competence instead of hope. By the time everyone else is reacting, he’s already three moves ahead because preparation lets you predict what catches other people by surprise.

Every arena rewards the prepared man. Business. Fighting. Relationships. Leadership. The man who walks in having done the work always appears lucky to the man who didn’t. Luck is often just preparation meeting opportunity. The hours nobody applauds become the victories everybody notices. Success usually looks effortless because the effort happened long before the spotlight arrived.

Never walk into an important conversation without thinking through it first. Never launch without testing. Never negotiate without leverage. Never compete without sharpening your weapons. The smallest edge compounds over time until average men start calling you gifted. They don’t see the preparation behind the performance.

Preparation is respect for your future self. Stack every advantage you can. Learn more. Train harder. Build better habits. Study longer. Think deeper. When the moment finally arrives, don’t hope you’re ready. Know you are. That’s how dangerous men operate. That’s how they rig the odds in their favour.

Maykroekonomiks 101: Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility

Imagine you are extremely thirsty on a hot day. The first 500 mL bottle of water gives you the greatest satisfaction because it immediately quenches your thirst. At that moment, the marginal utility—the additional satisfaction gained from consuming one more unit—is very high. Because consumers place a high value on that immediate satisfaction, they are willing to pay ₱20 for the bottled water.

Now compare this with a 1-gallon refillable water costing only ₱15. Although it contains much more water, you are unlikely to consume the entire gallon at once. After drinking the first few glasses, your thirst is largely satisfied. Each additional glass provides less and less additional satisfaction than the previous one. This is the essence of the Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility: as a person consumes more units of the same good, the extra satisfaction (marginal utility) from each additional unit decreases.

Therefore, consumers are often willing to pay more for the first, convenient unit that provides immediate utility than for a much larger quantity whose additional units offer progressively lower satisfaction.

For example,

500 mL bottled water (₱25.00): High marginal utility because it is portable, immediately consumable, and satisfies an urgent need.
1-gallon refillable water (₱20.00): Lower marginal utility per unit because most of the water will be consumed later, when the urgency and satisfaction have already diminished.

The Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility explains that price is often influenced by the value consumers place on the additional satisfaction they receive from consuming another unit, not merely by the total quantity of the product. In this case, the first bottle of water delivers greater immediate utility than the many additional servings contained in a gallon of refillable water.
