He already had the work. He just needed the words to match it. đź“·
Brandyn Hollands Photography is a brand photographer serving businesses across Simcoe County and York Region. Natural, warm, intentional, and genuinely not interested in making every client look the same.

He came for a Social Simplified session with a full calendar, a clear aesthetic, and a problem a lot of really good business owners have:
He felt like he'd already said everything there was to say. (He hadn't. He'd just said it one way.)

Here's what the session uncovered 👇
→ The "I've said it all" feeling isn't a creativity problem. It's a framework problem. One idea can become three pieces of content when you know how to extract it.
→ His strongest differentiator: refusing to make every client fit the industry mould, was barely showing up in his content.
→ His audience's deepest want isn't just great photos. It's to be chosen. That one insight became an entire content pillar.
→ Threads was basically made for him. Dry humour, reality TV opinions, industry hot takes, and he hadn't fully given himself permission to use it yet.
→ York Region growth needs more than Instagram. A light LinkedIn strategy changes who finds him there.

The plan we built gave him a Monday morning system, a repurposing framework that makes one idea go further, and a 90-day roadmap that starts where he actually is.
Consistency was never the problem. The system just needed to catch up to the work. 🌲

May, you delivered. ✨

A month full of people, celebrations, and moments that reminded me why showing up in real life and not just online, is always worth it.

The highlights:
✨ Co-hosted the most incredible Bubbles & Bo***es event with the most incredible women
✨ Got to a concert for the first time in way too long
✨ Helped bring the Rivendell Books Retro Bookfair to life (books + community = my happy place)
✨ Explored Market Candle Company in Newmarket and now my house and car smell heavenly
✨ My eldest made an All Star Cheer team (I cried, she did not)
✨ Celebrated my youngest's 10th birthday at Highland Pines Resort
✨ Got the best Mother's Day mug a mum could ask for
✨ Coworked with my girl Merit Media Inc. and her baby muffin Hazel, who judged every email I wrote and honestly? Fair.
✨ Tried the McDonald's version of a Dirty Diet Coke. No notes.

Full, fun, and a little chaotic. Just how I like it.

Here's to June. đź’—

You don't need more followers to grow your business.

You need the right people in your corner.

On June 3rd, my BNI chapter is hosting a Visitors Day — and I'd love to personally invite you.

BNI is where I've built some of my most meaningful business relationships. It's a referral network that actually works, because it's built on trust, consistency, and genuinely showing up for each other.

📅 June 3rd | 9:00 – 10:30am 💻 Virtual on Zoom

If you're a Simcoe County business owner or entrepreneur who's been wanting to:

✨ Build a solid referral network (not just collect business cards) ✨ Connect with local business owners who actually want to see you win ✨ Get in front of people who can send business your way

— this is your invite.

No pressure. No hard sell. Just real connections with people who are doing the work, right here in our community.

DM me "VISITOR" and I'll send you all the details.

Reels get all the hype. But carousels? They're quietly winning.

10.15% average engagement rate — the highest of any format on Instagram right now.

If you've been putting all your energy into Reels and wondering why organic reach feels flat, it might not be your content.

It might be your format.

Swipe through for the breakdown, and if it sounds familiar, DM us. That's literally what we help with. ✨

When your content has to support grieving families, connect with your community, and attract funders… it’s really easy for social media to start feeling like too much. And way too transactional.

That’s where Bridget's Bunnies was when they came to us.

They were already doing incredible, deeply needed work in the pregnancy and infant loss space, but their content wasn’t fully reflecting the care, warmth, and connection behind the organization.

So inside their Social Simplified plan, we helped them:
✨ Clarify how to speak to multiple audiences without losing the heart of the message
✨ Build content pillars rooted in support, advocacy, education, and visible care
✨ Create a repurposing system that made their content more sustainable across platforms
✨ Shift away from constant asks and toward a more personal, community centred presence
✨ Map out a 90-day strategy designed to increase visibility, trust, and website traffic.

The goal wasn’t to make their content louder.

It was to make it feel more human.

Because when your work is this meaningful, your social media should do more than post updates. It should help people feel seen, supported, and less alone.

And that’s exactly what we built. ✨

If your content feels scattered, heavy, or too focused on “what to post” instead of what actually matters, a clear strategy changes everything.

There are some events you host because they’re strategic.
And there are some you host because they’re personal.

This one is personal.

Women’s breast health matters. And the older I get, the more I realize how important it is that we advocate for ourselves and actually understand our bodies.

I have friends and family who’ve walked through breast cancer. When it’s close to you like that, it shifts something.

So many of us are busy raising kids, building businesses, taking care of everyone else… and we don’t always pause to take care of ourselves.

Bubbles & Bo***es is about creating space for that.
To learn.
To ask questions.
To feel supported.
And yes — to have fun while doing it.

Join us May 13th from 7–9 PM at in downtown Barrie for a meaningful night of connection, education, and community.

🎟 Tickets are linked in my bio.

I’d love to learn and grow together. 💗

Instagram just rolled out its “Your Algo” feature to all English-speaking users. People can now tell their Reels feed what topics they want to see more (or less) of.

Which means your audience is officially training their own algorithm.

And here’s the shift:

The “post for everyone and hope it lands” strategy? It’s going to struggle.

Clear. Specific. Niche content? That’s what’s going to get pulled into the right feeds.

This isn’t about posting more.
It’s about being clearer.

If someone tuned their feed to “small business marketing” or “local events” or “women’s health” — would your content clearly fit into one of those buckets?

If the answer feels vague, that’s the work.

The algorithm isn’t random.
It’s responsive.

And clarity just became your competitive edge.

We are so quick to dismiss our numbers.

“Only” 200 views.
“Just” 15 likes.
“Not enough” followers.

But social media has warped our sense of scale.

Every number represents real people.
Real attention.
Real opportunity.

Growth doesn’t always look impressive on paper.
It often looks small before it looks significant.

If you’re building something, don’t let comparison steal your momentum.

You don’t need to overshare.
You don’t need a perfectly curated life.

But you do need to be seen.

Faces build familiarity.
Familiarity builds trust.
Trust builds business.

If you’ve been hiding behind graphics, consider this your gentle nudge.
