Yesterday, my 12-year-old son Sawyer came up with a new nickname for me: “Steve Jobless.”
It was so clever I couldn’t even be offended.
We laughed for a good five minutes.😂
The reality is I’ve been job hunting, freelancing, and building new ideas all at once. It’s not exactly how I planned to spend my summer, but it’s been a good reminder that sometimes 💩 happens, and you have to keep laughing while you figure things out.
I have to admit... the resemblance was too good to pass up.
Now... back to building WeRC. 💪
P.S. I’m also accepting applications for a better nickname. 😄

🦙 Well, the llama’s out of the bag! It’s official - I’ve joined as Creative Director. Kate has built an awesome team here, and I’m excited to bring my skills and experience to the company. Thanks to all my new colleagues for welcoming me with open arms this week. And a special shout out to - who happens to be a former student - for putting in a good word for me with the boss. 🙌

👨🏻‍🏫 So, will I still be teaching?
With the decrease in enrolment at the college, the number of classes I was offered also decreased. I’ll still continue to teach (at least for now) because I genuinely do love it, but it will be secondary to my new job.

👨🏻‍💻 What about We Are Creative?
Not to worry, WeRC clients, I haven’t closed the business, but I will be more selective about the jobs I take on. Some things may change moving forward, but I will keep you all in the loop. Please feel free to contact me to discuss.

I really believe the universe has my back. Things almost went in a different direction for me, but my course was corrected and here I am. I’m grateful for this opportunity with 3SIXTY. It’s the perfect fit for me, and I look forward to helping our clients, the business, and our staff grow!
