Since joining the Shine FM family, I’ve felt incredibly grateful, not only for the amazing team I get to work with but also for the truly inspiring clients I’ve had the privilege to meet.
Recently, I sat down with Imran, the owner of Dolphin Cleaners, and what struck me most was that our conversation wasn’t about advertising rates or business challenges. Instead, we talked about something far more important to him: serving others.
Imran is deeply passionate about helping Calgary’s homeless community. Every Saturday, he personally goes downtown to feed pizza to people living on the streets. And through Dolphin Cleaners, he accepts clothing donations, cleans them, and distributes them to those who need them most. This isn’t marketing disguised as philanthropy. Caring for others is at the core of who Imran is, and that spirit runs through everything he does.
He believes that when you serve others and give back to your community, it comes back tenfold. For him, it’s never been about the deal or the money. It’s about doing the right thing, and that is truly inspiring.
Right now, Imran shared that there is a shortage of winter clothing, and many people in Calgary are still facing cold nights. So he asked if I could help spread the word.
If you have gently used winter items such as coats, gloves, backpacks, carry-on luggage, or other winter wear, please consider donating.
You can drop them off at any of the 7 Dolphin Cleaners locations in Calgary, and their team will clean and distribute them to those in need. We help you clear out your cluttered closet while ensuring people in need have CLEAN and WARM clothes to wear.
Thank you, Imran, for reminding me that the most meaningful businesses are the ones that quietly make our community stronger every day.
❤️ Let’s share the warmth, Calgary.
