Most Calgary business owners would be shocked to learn that about half of their Google Ads budget is wasted. There's an adage in advertising, “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half”. This phrase was coined almost 100 years ago by John Wanamaker. If John was around today he might say something like, "Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; and it's because my Google Ads manager used a "set it and forget it strategy." https://matterhornsolutions.ca/google-ad-management/

IN FLANDERS FIELDS

By Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead: Short days ago,
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved: and now we lie
In Flanders fields!
Take up our quarrel with the foe
To you, from failing hands, we throw
The torch: be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields

The Liberal's tax policies aren't looking very good for business development and job creation.

Trudeau and the Canadian Small Business Tax. http://cawstontaxhelp.com/canadian-small-business-tax-2017/ Despite its consultation with Canadians it appears that the Liberal government is moving forward with their proposed tax changes. As tax professionals we are concerned that these changes will reduce the incentives that entrepreneurs have to start or grow their small businesses.
