B**r, BBQ, bourbon and blues are coming together for one seriously good Saturday night. 🥃🍖🎶

The Mill Craft Bar + Kitchen is hosting B**r, BBQ, Bourbon & Blues on September 12, with a Southern-inspired BBQ spread, specialty drinks and live blues music all evening.

The menu includes hickory-glazed wh***ey BBQ smoked pork shoulder, farmhouse sausage, BBQ pit beans, southern apple slaw, potato salad, bacon and poblano mac 'n cheese, and house-made cornbread. 👀

There will also be bourbon and craft b**r specials to pair with the BBQ, plus live blues music and entertainment throughout the night.

Plant trees, try forest bathing and end the evening with a cup of tea. 🌿☕️

The City of Edmonton’s Root for Trees program is hosting Trees and Tea this fall, combining volunteering with a relaxing evening outdoors.

You’ll spend the session helping plant native trees, shrubs and wildflowers, while certified Forest Bathing guides lead mindful activities designed to help you slow down and connect with nature. 🌳

After planting, the evening wraps up with time to reflect over locally wildcrafted herbal tea from Mother Earth Essentials.

There are two chances to take part:

📅 October 16 | Twin Brooks District & Nature Park
⏰ 5 PM to 7 PM
🌧️ Rain or shine

Bring a water bottle, a cup for your tea and a blanket if you’d like one for the reflection portion. If you want to help with planting, make sure to wear closed-toed shoes.

Your next craft night is throwing it back to the ’90s. 💿✨

Retro Craft Night: 1990s Edition is happening at the Royal Alberta Museum on September 3, with an evening dedicated to some seriously nostalgic crafts.

Make friendship bracelets, create your own beaded lizard keychain or bring a jean jacket from home and give it a retro makeover. All the materials and instructions are provided, so you can simply drop in and get crafty.

Hokus Pokus LIVE is heading to Western Canada this September, bringing a campy live drag parody inspired by the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus to the stage.

The show stars drag royalty Ginger Minj, Jujubee, Sapphira Cristál and Landon C***r, with plenty of comedy, costumes and spooky-season chaos along the way

Looking for the best mural spots? Start here 🎨

The is running through September 15, with local and international artists transforming walls across the city.

If you want to make a day of it, a few areas are especially worth checking out. Old Strathcona and Whyte Ave are packed with street art and easy to pair with cafés and shops, 124 Street has plenty of colourful pieces along its food and design corridor, and the Downtown Arts District is home to some of the festival’s largest-scale murals.

A few standout stops include Millcreek Cafe, the Empty Corner House on 124 Street and the Citadel Theatre.

Monster trucks are roaring into Edmonton this weekend 🛞🔥

Monster Jam is taking over Rogers Place on August 29 and 30 for three action-packed shows packed with racing, huge jumps, two-wheel skills and freestyle competitions.

Fans can catch favourites like Grave Digger and El Toro Loco, plus the Canadian debut of the all-new Bailey Circuit truck. 👀

Want to get even closer to the action? The Pit Party runs from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on both days, giving fans the chance to see the trucks up close before the show. A separate Pit Pass and event ticket are required.

The singer, songwriter, actress and philanthropist died on today, Tuesday, August 25, her family confirmed in a statement.

Over a career spanning nearly six decades, Parton became one of the most recognizable figures in music, giving the world songs including “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors,” “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You.” Her music sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

Her impact extended far beyond music. Through her Imagination Library, Parton helped provide free books to children, while her philanthropy supported education, disaster relief and medical research.

Edmonton country fans, a brand-new festival is making its debut this month 🤠🎶

Boots and Hearts West is coming to Fan Park at ICE District on August 28 and 29 for two full days of country music in downtown Edmonton.

Russell Dickerson headlines Friday night, while Shaboozey closes things out on Saturday, with Midland, Tyler Joe Miller, Max McNown and more also hitting the stage throughout the weekend.

WestJet just got a whole lot comfier 👀✈️

is updating aircraft that previously had all-economy cabins, bringing them in line with the airline’s newer cabin design and layout.

The refreshed aircraft feature a more consistent Economy cabin with 30 inches of seat pitch, while reconfigured narrow-body planes also offer a Premium cabin with more legroom, adjustable recline, device holders and power access.

WestJet says updates to its remaining all-economy aircraft are underway and expected to wrap up by early September, while work to standardize its densified Economy cabins will continue through the end of 2026.
