In 2014, Fedora Pharmaceuticals Inc. signed the largest licensing deal ever signed in Canadian biotech history, licensing their beta-lactamase inhibitor to Hoffman J La Roche for US$750 million in addition to royalties.

How did they do it?

In his book titled One Day You’ll Understand, Christopher Micetich lets you take a high-dive into his life and experience the stories that led him to become the president and CEO of Fedora Pharmaceuticals.

Born in 1963 and Founder of six companies, Christopher Micetich is considered a “Serial Entrepreneur”. Before he founded Fedora, he was the COO at SynPhar Laboratories Inc., responsible for all aspects of administration including business development, international affairs, and strategic planning. Outside of his career in specialty pharmaceuticals, Christopher is the founder of Windjammer Java Roasters Inc., a specialty coffee roasting company, and Brass Dome Ventures Ltd., a management and business consultancy.

Fedora continues the pursuit of developing new drugs that save lives. Brass Dome Ventures Ltd. was founded in 2016 and employs a multi-disciplinary team of business experts.

Heading anywhere this holiday season? I, unfortunately, will remain in the cold tundra of Edmonton, Alberta; however, it doesn’t feel quite like Christmas to me without the snow and frigid temperatures (as I mentioned in my previous post, one of my favourite things to do in the winter months is cozy up by the fireplace with a hot cup of cocoa)!

Although I won’t be on a beach in , I look forward to gathering with friends and family and enjoying the traditional approach to the holidays (3 turkey dinners and counting!). Safe travels this holiday season!

With the cold weather supposedly setting in this week, I thought I would share a photo from this past summer; and if at first glance that doesn’t heat you up enough, perhaps the photo that this gentleman is holding will add some spice. Thanh Hua’s image titled “Latin Dance”, photographed at the , took first prize in the 2019 ARTA Photo Contest.

Ironically, this was photographed at ---the same place that Thanh captured his image; so, when you look at this photo, it’s a bit of a time warp!

Here is a guided walkthrough of a new website we developed for that features photography of his completed projects, video testimonials from his clients, and a few tweaks to his branding. It was a great opportunity to spread my wings and offer a comprehensive marketing solution that went above and beyond the usual photography and videor; in addition to the staple items, we worked on a branding and marketing strategy that we hope to continue to roll out as we move forward.

Thank you, Josh, for the opportunity to work with you and your team. I am an admirer of the business that you are building and the man that stands behind it. I hope we can continue to build on the foundation that we have laid together.

Mr. Edgar! If any of you graduated at Strathcona Composite High School within the last 20 years and took Physics, you should remember this man. He's passionate about science...and science fiction . I think he wished he could have been invisible for this shoot, but unfortunately the shirt wasn't working! We needed a little more physics for that! But we got a great shot out of him.

This image has pumpkins in it...that will do for a Halloween post, right? Special thanks to all those handing out special treats tonight...I will be taking full advantage and sending my kids to collect for me! I love sweets! I don't care that they're 5, 2, and 6 months, they're doing a full route regardless of the weather and we're not coming home until our pillowcase is full! I'm sure mother will allow it.

It was my wife and my 6th wedding anniversary over the weekend; so, it is only fitting that I post a photo with her in it!

Similar to this photo, she works quietly in the background, supporting me in my career, and, ultimately, completes the bigger picture at home with our three little girls. I love you. Thank you for all that you do. It doesn't go unnoticed!

This lake front home built by achieved an air tightness test result of 0.36 air changes per hour (ACH) at a pressure of 50 Pascal at MID-CONSTRUCTION. To put this in perspective, it beat out homes in Sweden who, on average, have the most airtight homes in the world. Basically, it's the best home ever built. Well done!
