I think as a society we have had it engrained into us that if we need help we are weak or bothersome.
So we just try to do everything on our own or figure it out for ourselves. Whether thats day to day help or just something that may make our lives easier in the workplace or in our home life with a partner.
We just manage the workload, with kids, the job or whatever it “is” and just keep going until it gets done. And that’s just the way it is.

I am 💯 % guilty of this and I think that has been a part of how I become so sick. Even though I have the most supportive husband and family and friends. I always felt like I could get done whatever needed to be done and asking for help for what I wanted or needed wasn’t necessary because I could manage it myself and didn’t want to be bothersome to anyone. Everyone is already busy with their own s**t, right?
As I got sicker and sicker I realized I had no choice in the matter but to ask for help, and not only ask for help but be completely reliant on others because I just wasn’t capable of doing things myself.
I also learned that it’s ok to ask for help and voice what you want or need, because chances are those people are there WANTING and waiting to help you, you just have to let them and not wait until it’s too late until you have no choice but to rely on them.
I am so grateful to my husband and my mom in particular for helping me with nearly everything in the last couple of years. And I still have trouble asking for help but I’ve learned to accept it a lot more now. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💫

Skulls play an important role in Mayan culture, representing death and rebirth. In fact, skulls were often used as offerings to the gods, and were even carved into important architectural structures like temples and altars.

The Mayans believe that death is simply a transition to another life, and so skulls are viewed not as a symbol of fear, but rather as a symbol of the eternal cycle of life and death. This belief is reflected in the intricate artwork and carvings featuring skulls found throughout Mayan ruins and artifacts.

So the next time you come across a Mayan skull in a museum or gallery, remember that it is not a symbol of death, but rather a reminder of the Mayan's deep connection to the cycle of life and the powerful forces of nature.

So lucky to have amazing right out our back door. are about a 40 min drive from our home in and you are able to actually climb these beautiful ruins. One of the lesser known ruins, has the advantage that there are few people around. Last time we went, we had the place to ourselves. This time a few families and couple were there.

These Mayan ruins on the Yucatan Peninsula are so well-preserved, you'll feel like you're walking in the footsteps of the ancient Maya.
