I recently had the pleasure of attending the Alberta Global Talent Conference 2026, and it was truly a fruitful experience! Hosted by the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC), the day was packed with practical insights on navigating the Canadian labour market and building inclusive, high-performing teams.
The absolute highlight was the keynote by Dr. Ivan Joseph. His session on "Success, Self-Confidence & Grit" was nothing short of awesome. He shared powerful strategies on how self-confidence is a skill we can actually train, and how "grit"—the ability to persevere through setbacks—is what truly differentiates success.
