Want to get more customers? You need to stand out from your competition. How? You need to provide better service. How? You need to add value to your customers experience, and then patiently wait, it will pay off.

Too many business owners think spending oodles on advertising with messages that are all “sell, sell, sell” is going to get them more customers, or loyal customers. It’s not.

Finding creative or just plain practical ways to add value to the customers experience will make a much more significant impact to your sales.

Um, my grocery store needs ALL of these things.

I’m Karla, a strategist and coach with the knowledge and experience to help you grow your business to the level of success you’ve always dreamed of. I work hands-on with business owners to determine their brand vision and their business goals, in order to help them understand, prioritize and align their marketing efforts.

Basically, I help business owners get noticed by potential customers, stay relevant to existing customers and, most important to any successful business, increase sales.

My approach combines traditional and digital marketing expertise, with a business development focus. I have amazing relationships with other freelancers, consultants and service providers that provides an exceptionally valuable network of industry insights, collaborations, ideas and innovations.

Consider your marketing like a complex puzzle that you just dumped onto the table. You know all those little pieces fit together, but there are hundreds of them; and it's 4 pm, your dog needs to be walked, dinner needs to be cook, you still need to mow the grass before it gets dark, and you lost the puzzle box lid that had the picture on it.

As a business owner you are juggling many tasks each day that distract you from focusing on the your marketing mix (the puzzle) and how all those little pieces fit together as a complete marketing strategy. So instead, you spend short bursts of time, whenever you can, focusing on one or two pieces and forgetting to consider how they fit into the bigger pieces.

As a Marketing Strategist, I look at the big picture, and I help you to figure out how all the small pieces work together to maximize their effectiveness. This not only increases the effectiveness of your marketing, but often optimizes your marketing and saves you money while providing a better return on investment. I am passionate about working with small and local businesses because they are my favourite places to visit, shop, eat, drink and enjoy my time. Small and local businesses are unique in what they offer and how they contribute to the local culture and economy. They often have smaller budgets, meaning they cant afford the services of bigger agencies services, leaving them to fend for themselves in the ever changing landscape of business marketing. I would be heartbroken if my favourite local businesses who offered great products and services were forced to close their doors as a result of their lack of understanding business marketing and limited budgets to hire a marketing agency or a business coach.
