YOU AREN’T ACTUALLY SELLING YOUR OFFER ⬇️

We see a lot of sales talk online.. And one of my least favorites is:

“selling on stories” 🤳

Because while you can hop on your stories and talk about your offer, you aren’t SELLING IT, you’re PROMOTING it by definition,

🕵️Promoting: further the progress of a venture; support or actively encourage. (oxford)
🕵️Selling: give or hand over (something) in exchange for money (oxford)

Now, why do these definitions matter?

Because selling happens AFTER promoting. People need to first be actively encouraged before you can sell to them.

So where does selling happen if stories is promotion?

👏IN 👏THE👏 DMS 👏

Even when you have a couple “I’M IN” messages after selling ons tories, these people aren’t sold until they type in their cc info.

More nurturing can definitely be needed in the DMs.

Wondering which you should be focussing on? Here’s what you need to know 👇

As we all know it takes more than posting to the ‘gram to make sales. But where is your gap?

It can be super confusing while you are doing what feels like all the things:

➡️Posting content all the time
➡️Selling on stories
➡️Engaging with your audience

But still, your income is capped 🛟 😶

Here’s how you can tell what your focus should be to go from consistent but boring sales numbers to “OMG HOW IS THIS MY LIFE? 💸 🥂 🥳”

If you are getting engagement, but it’s all from your p*ers,
👉 focus on generating leads and building relationships

If you have engaged leads but aren’t getting steady inquiries,

Still trying to figure out what works?

I’ve been there,

When I started my business, I experienced a lot of ups and downs while I was trying to figure out what works.

Likely for me, in my field, mastering sales was he first on my list, and I made it a priority so that I could offer incredible services and support my own business.

But the problem is, sales isn’t your field, so while you’ve been trying to master skills in your field so that you can better support your clients and you business in that area, sales have kind of fallen to the wayside..

Am I right?

One of the biggest mistakes I see in DM sales convos:

So often when someone needs a sale, or they are really excited about what the money could mean for them such as:

- a new milestone
- a higher income
- maintaining their growth

…what this means to the seller it starts to show up in their conversation, and takes the focus away from the buyer.

🚩MAJOR TURN OFF 🚩

When your conversation isn’t prioritizing the buyer, they develop a sense of not being prioritized as a client.

So what does this look like in a conversation? ⬇️

NOT QUALIFYING THEM
The buyer loves a sense of exclusivity and the fact that you don’t just work with anyone in this high-ticket offer. Even though their application is glowing, and after a stalk of their profile, you’re sure they would be a perfect fit, you still want to ask some questions and develop a back-and-forth to ensure that they feel sure you’re a match.

NO FOLLOW-UP
What happens after you send a link and they don’t buy? Or when they say they’ll think about it and get back to you? This is a major opportunity for you to follow up and show the buyer that you are:
👑 a leader
👑 capable of supporting them
👑 confident in your offer

Why people use basic ales strategies even though they don’t work ⬇️

Because they don’t know what their sales potential really is ✨

I see this basic sales conversation all the time when starting with consulting clients:

➡️Say hi
➡️Reiterate the application
➡️Ask if that sounds right
➡️Sees if they have more Qs + send the link

Does it work? Sometimes if there is already a strong relationship.

But oftentimes, it feels super easy to slide right into a 5 figure package with little to no prerequisites or goals…

Sounds a lil fishy, doesn’t it?

But aside from that, I'm glad you are building some sort of strategy/system for your DMs sales, but they could use a little ✨refinement ✨
