A random reminder to look at your own website. š
I know. You have things to do.
But when was the last time you actually went through your website like a potential client would?
Not to redesign it. Not to decide you suddenly hate your fonts.
Just to make sure everything still makes sense.
A few things worth checking:
ā Is there a service listed that you donāt really offer anymore?
ā Did you change your pricing everywhere except your website?
ā Is your About photo from three haircuts ago?
ā Do all your buttons and links actually go where theyāre supposed to?
And one people often forgetā¦
When was the last time you actually tested your contact form?
Not just looked at it. Fill it out. Hit send. Make sure it lands in your inbox.
Because āhuh, itās been a little quiet latelyā¦ā is probably not how you want to discover thereās an issue. š
Then take a look at the bigger picture.
Can someone tell what you do within a few seconds?
ā Is it clear who you help?
ā Are your services still accurate?
ā Is there an obvious next step?
And maybe the most important one:
Does your website still represent the business youāre running today?
Businesses change. Offers evolve. Content gets outdated. Websites need a little check-in every now and then too.
You donāt necessarily need a new website.
Sometimes you just need to make sure the one you have hasnāt been quietly living in 2024 while the rest of your business moved on.
Consider this your reminder to go look at yours.
I apologize in advance for the 14 things youāre about to notice. š
