With ChatGPT seemly taking over our world, social media might be one of the first things affected with people trying to create posts using these AI tools.

Although ChatGPT can technically do this… they’re not very good 😆

Case in point: swipe to see an example of a simple coffee post — first one generated by ChatGPT, second one created by me. ☕️

I think this goes without saying but it cannot give you the years of expertise and knowledge a true social media specialist can, plus it can’t tailor to you specifically.

It also takes just as much time as actually creating your own post since you have to keep prompting it and editing its (dumb) suggestions.

So what’s the answer?
HIRE A SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST.
Trust me. 🙃

Meta wants to charge business pages for posting links 📢

That’s right, unless you’re Meta verified, which by the way, is another paid service, you will only be allowed to organically share 2 links per month.

Now even though they’re only testing this out on relatively few users, it would be a HUGE disadvantage for small businesses who regularly share links 🔗

Meta says that links aren’t really used so this is a low-risk change in their eyes but as someone who almost always posts links on behalf of clients…

Proud to be a Fanshawe College Alumni and officially part of their business directory 👩🏼‍💻

When I was a Marketing and CCPR student from 2010-2013, social media was a new aspect in advertising so we only briefly touched on the subject. It wasn’t until a few years later that I started Vivify and had to pave my own way, trying to figure out best practices for social media in business. With all that being said, the foundations I learned at Fanshawe College have helped me immensely and I’m very grateful for my years there!
