Christmas got me thinking….

We all need to take a step back, slow down, and be grateful for what we have.

Although it’s ok to want more, we must not forget what we have, and how lucky we are.

I’m grateful for this life and everyone in it 🤍

Something that’s important to remember is this time of year is the happiest time of year for a lot of people, but it’s also the worst time of year for many others.

I want those struggling to know that I see you and I’m thinking of you ❤️

Reasons why you need email marketing 👇

I know it’s Saturday but to Wednesday when I met up with my work bestie.

Rewind….📼

Meagan and I used to go to high school together and we didn’t even know each other existed until AFTER high school!

Fun fact: our first encounter after High school was when I used to teach her a fitness step dance class! (Yes in my leopard tights, and my headset and all!) 💃

After I had my son, I was scrolling through IG and came across one of her stories, where she spoke about this amazing digital marketing world she was immersed in.

I thought. Idk… I don’t believe this, but fast forward 📼 l…and we now work closely in business, referring clients, sharing clients, and building our empires together.

I couldn’t think of a better person to share this journey with and am so thankful that we crossed paths.

The universe is a cool place 💫 and everything happens for a reason.

I hate talking about this, but someone has to…

AI 🤖

(You are probably all thinking, yeah you do copywriting, obviously you hate AI)

Let’s be clear about that fact that I’m totally not against saving time, getting inspo and streamlining things with Chat GPT (and I’m definitely not scared of it.)

What I’m not ok with lately is seeing every post look and sound like this.

🚀 Unlock your true potential ✨💪
🤩 Embark on a journey of 🥳🙌
✨Unleash the true you 🌟💫

Followed but a generic breakdown of how. (That literally screams I copy and pasted this from AI)

If every business is copying and pasting from ChatGPT, where is the distinct brand voice anymore?

Where is the personality behind your brand?

Where is the authenticity?

And ESPECIALLY when I have seen your brand talk a certain way in the past and all of a sudden things have shifted to this generic ChatGPT copy… can I trust you anymore?

Yes, use AI as tools, because that’s what they are, tools. But if you are sacrificing dollars for convenience in your marketing strategy.. you may be hurting your brand more than helping it.

Did you know that prompting ChatGPT properly to help with writing copy takes a loooooong ass time to get right?

My life has been NOTHING but linear 🎢

You know when you are growing up and the expectation is that you will graduate from high school, go to University, get a career, get married, have kids and the rest is history? 💁‍♀️

Yeah...

Here's what my life looks like up until now.
👉 I graduated high school.
👉 I did one year of college on a hockey scholarship taking Kinesiology.
👉 I then took a year off, and decided to take up golf.
👉 I did one year of college for Golf Management.
👉 I went to St. Louis on a golf scholarship.
👉 I transferred to UAB Alabama on a different golf scholarship.
👉 I came home and in a span of 6 years worked at 6 different golf courses.
👉 I decided to become a Personal Trainer.
👉 I worked for a year then moved and got hired at Innovative Fitness.
👉 I worked there for 6 years before I had my first baby.
👉 We bought into a franchise.
👉 I had a second baby and didn't want to go back to work because I wanted life to be flexible.
👉 And now I have my own business and work from home.

Things don't always go as planned or how expected (by you or someone else)

But that's ok...

Nothing I have done I have regretted, if anything, each experience has shaped who I am today and I am forever grateful that each and every one of them happened.🤍

This post is only for people that want to write better emails! 📤

When writing email subject lines it’s important to make them compelling enough so that people open your email!

So how do you do that?
📤 Open a loop (make a statement that leaves people curious and thinking “I need to open that”

📤 Make sure to tie in the pre-text header with your subject line.

📤 Personalize the subject line, people are more likely to open it.

Here are a few more examples of subject lines that get my client 30-50% open rates consistently.

👉THIS is a no-brainer [NAME]
pre-text: stop leaving money on the table.

👉If you haven’t thought of this…
Pre-text: it might be too late…

👉Keep that audience warm [NAME]
Pre-text: 😎even though summer is over

👉If you aren’t doing this…
pre-text: you should start!

Email subject lines and pre-text headers are the most important part of your email, because if they aren’t eye catching and scream “open me” then the rest of your amazing info won’t be seen 👀

Humans have been telling stories forever and our brains have evolved to love them. It’s just a fact, it’s who we are 🤍

When you think like a storyteller, you can better envision problems your ideal clients face and focus your attention on how your service solves those problems.

Become a good storyteller, and watch your offer sell like hotcakes.

Because people deserve to know how good you really are!

So write with authority.

✍️ Make sure that your message is written with conviction.

✍️ Make sure your language and your message are clear, and concise.

✍️ Use storytelling to make your copy compelling and keep people engaged.

Because if there is uncertainty or ambiguity, people won’t buy.
