Two years ago, we made our last post.
Pascal had something to share to the team: not a campaign, not a launch.
He was redirecting his focus and trusting the team to carry what he’d built.
The first question everyone asked was:
« But you’ve built something… what about the team? »
His answer was simple:
« You do it. »
For those who don’t know me, I’m Jad Misri .
I’m a filmmaker at heart. Storytelling has always been the thread connecting everything I’ve done, from leaving Syria in search of a new beginning to building a career in Canada, one project at a time. I joined Green Horizon because I believed in the mission long before I ever imagined leading it.
So when Pascal passed the torch, I wasn’t starting from zero.
But I was stepping into the biggest challenge of my career.
I did it scared.
I did it unprepared.
I did it inexperienced in ways I didn’t expect.
I did it on days I wasn’t motivated.
I did it while figuring things out, leaning on everything I already knew, everything this team already knew, and learning the rest in real time.
Not because I’m superhuman.
Because I had an incredible team.
Built with intention. People who stepped up, solved problems, carried each other and proved that great people can overcome just about anything together.
Eight years of Green Horizon.
Here’s to the work.
Here’s to the team.
Here’s to what comes next.
Stories to change the world.
