There are over 6 billion people on Earth. Of those 6 billion, 4 billion people have a cell phone. Only 2 billion of those 4 billion people use text messages to communicate. That leaves us with 1.2 billion potential customers who are still using traditional methods of communication like email and social media.
The average consumer spends about $3,000 per year on retail goods and services. However, the average consumer spends more than $5,000 per year on mobile devices and services. In fact, mobile devices have become so prevalent that they're now being used as a substitute for cash in some countries!
