Ground beef was on sale at Costco last week. I have never purchased this before, no idea it is 10 lbs of meat. Oy. So a day of cooking. Deconstructed cabbage rolls. Meat sauce for lasagna. Chili con carne. Meatballs on the schedule for today.

34th anniversary. Wow. Where did the time go? Hi think monumental moments put too much pressure on a restaurant meal so I rocked it myself. Filet mignon. Bernaise from scratch. Double baked potato. Roasted veg. A gorgeous bottle of red wine.

Trip out west for celebration of life. Gave Airbnb a try. Basement suite. Nope. Not for us. It feels like we are in someone’s house. And it’s a stranger so even creepier. There’s a hot tub but no, not really inviting. Overall I wish we liked it. A kitchenette with proper coffee every morning is really nice but beyond that no. Won’t be doing this again.

I love that we are now calling these “Cocktail Pools”. Certainly how we use it. .

Looking through photos of when we felt we were on someone elses family vacation realizing we were almost family too! Mexico trips will never be the same, there will always be an air of sadness.

So fun to see photos in my timeline in this week. Though we didn't attend it is so fun to see my childhood haunts being worshipped by so many. Certainly left me craving a good corned beef sandwich and some kishka!
