Une solution épurée pour un site Web riche en contenu

Depuis quelques mois, nous travaillons sur des projets d’image de marque et de développement Web pour notre nouveau client, l’Institut de l'énergie Trottier. 🤓

Unité de recherche de Polytechnique Montréal, l’IET a été fondé par la fondation familiale Trottier. Son but est d’appuyer la formation d’une nouvelle génération d’ingénieurs, de scientifiques et d’innovateurs ayant une compréhension systémique des enjeux technologiques, économiques et sociaux propres au domaine de l’énergie. L’IET est un leader éclairé dans le secteur et promeut la recherche de solutions qui permettront d’assurer un avenir énergétique durable.

L’IET est actif dans les domaines éducatif et scientifique et produit un nombre impressionnant de publications dans toutes sortes de formats. Outre la publication de rapports scientifiques, d’ouvrages, d’articles et d’autres contenus écrits, l’Institut met sur pied divers évènements, établit des partenariats et lance ses propres projets et en finance d’autres. L’IET offre des financements et soutient aussi bien les étudiants que les entreprises agissant dans le secteur de l’énergie.

Le défi de la création du site Web de l’IET réside dans la présentation de tous ces types d’informations dans un format clair et convivial, adaptée à la navigation sur ordinateur et sur mobile, tout en restant conforme aux normes de la communauté scientifique. Le contenu scientifique étant essentiellement textuel, le graphisme doit rester simple. Il joue néanmoins un rôle important en rendant des informations complexes plus accessibles. Une autre difficulté consiste à simplifier le chargement de contenu sur le site Web, en évitant autant que possible la répétition des tâches. Le panneau d’administration du site Web est conçu sur mesure pour répondre aux besoins spécifiques de l’IET.

For the past few months, we’ve been busy working on branding and web development projects for our new client, Institut de l'énergie Trottier. 🤓

A research unit at Polytechnique Montréal, IET was founded by the Trottier Family Foundation. It strives to support the training of the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators with a systemic understanding of the technological, economic, and social issues specific to the energy sector. IET serves as a thought leader in the industry and promotes research for solutions to help ensure a sustainable energy future.

IET is active in the educational and scientific fields and produces impressive amounts of publications in all kinds of formats. In addition to scientific reports, publications, articles, and other types of written content, the Institut creates a variety of events, regularly collaborates with partners, and also initiates its own projects and funds other projects. IET offers grants and support for both students and companies working in the energy sector.

The challenge with the IET website creation lies in presenting all these types of information in a clear and easy-to-use format, adapted to both desktop and mobile navigation, while keeping it aligned with scientific community standards. With mostly textual scientific content, the graphics have to stay simple, but they nonetheless play an important role in making complex information more accessible. Another challenge is simplifying the content upload to the website, avoiding the duplication of tasks as much as possible. The administration panel of the website is tailor-made to fit IET’s specific needs.

Nous avons développé une nouvelle façon de créer des documents Word et des présentations PowerPoint personnalisés et à l'allure professionnelle. Ils sont non seulement en harmonie avec l'image de marque, mais sont également faciles à maintenir et à mettre à jour par le client, au moyen de logiciels de bureautique courants.

We developed a new way of creating professional-looking custom-designed Word documents and PowerPoint presentations. Not only are they in sync with the brand image, but are also easy to maintain and update by the client using common office software.

Once again, just like the shoemaker’s child who sometimes goes barefoot, we’ve been so focused on our clients’ websites and projects that we managed to ignore our own online portfolio. Talk about a faux pas!

Earlier this year, Regional Hose underwent an exciting rebranding process and is now using this opportunity to review our core values and position ourselves as a local business focused on giving back to the community. With our ongoing support, we are confident the Lions will give the competition everything they can handle!
