Pop-up, brancher et décoller

À New York, le Merchant Hub de Shopify transforme le commerce en plateforme vivante, entre boutique éphémère, café, atelier et lieu de rencontre pour créateurs.

Conçu par Lebel & Bouliane, l’espace offre aux marchands un cadre flexible pour lancer, tester et raconter leur marque. Mobilier adaptable, présentoirs modulaires, café adjacent et matières sobres composent un environnement chaleureux, pensé pour évoluer rapidement selon les usages.

Pop-Up, Plug In and Take Off

In New York, Shopify’s Merchant Hub turns retail into a living platform, combining pop-up, café, workshop, and gathering space for creators.

Designed by Lebel & Bouliane, the space gives merchants a flexible setting to launch, test, and tell their brand stories. Adaptable furniture, modular displays, an adjacent café, and restrained materials create a warm environment designed to shift quickly with changing uses.

Ce documentaire met en lumière la démarche de la Ville de Beloeil, qui s’inspire du modèle de Copenhague pour imaginer un quartier durable, humain et tourné vers l’avenir.

Récompensé aux GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN 2025 dans la catégorie Communication & Design de marque, ce projet démontre comment le design, la vidéo et la narration peuvent contribuer à mobiliser une communauté autour d’une vision commune.

Rénovée et agrandie, la Bibliothèque Gabrielle-Roy transforme le quartier Saint-Roch en un lieu culturel ouvert, lumineux et inclusif, où architecture, échanges et créativité se rencontrent.

Pensé par Saucier+Perrotte Architectes et GLCRM Architectes, le projet mise sur la transparence, la lumière naturelle et des espaces fluides reliant lecture, rencontre et création. Un grand atrium sculptural, des laboratoires créatifs et des terrasses animent cette bibliothèque réinventée pour la vie urbaine contemporaine.

Culture in Transparency

Renovated and expanded, the Gabrielle-Roy Library transforms Quebec City’s Saint-Roch district into an open, luminous, and inclusive cultural hub where architecture, creativity, and community converge.

Designed by Saucier+Perrotte Architectes and GLCRM Architectes, the project emphasizes transparency, natural light, and fluid spaces connecting reading, gathering, and creation. A sculptural atrium, creative labs, and public terraces bring new energy to this contemporary urban library.

Échos boréals

Inspirée par la magie des aurores boréales, Borealis déploie 454 tubes lumineux en fines strates, transformant un atrium en une composition immersive où lumière, mouvement et technologie se rencontrent.

Suspendue dans l’atrium du 2001 McGill College à Montréal, l’installation crée des nappes lumineuses en mouvement, évoquant la fluidité et la profondeur de l’aurore. Des lentilles diffusent une lumière douce, tandis que l’ensemble s’intègre avec finesse à l’architecture.

Boreal Echoes

Inspired by the magic of the northern lights, Borealis unfolds 454 luminous tubes in layered formations, transforming an atrium into an immersive composition where light, movement, and technology converge.

Suspended within the atrium at 2001 McGill College in Montreal, the installation creates flowing fields of light that evoke the depth and fluidity of the aurora. Translucent lenses diffuse a soft glow, while the piece integrates seamlessly with the surrounding architecture.

At Royalmount, inclusivity unfolds as a guided journey shaped by projections, reflections, and subtle lighting. Clean volumes and reflective surfaces create an enveloping atmosphere where architecture and art meet seamlessly.

Swept by the Wind

In Pointe au Baril, Ontario, Akb Architects design a cluster of cedar-clad cabins shaped by the elements. Tilted roofs, open decks, and glass walls capture the spirit of wind and water while resting lightly on the rock.

Set within the wild archipelago of Georgian Bay, Whistling Wind Island lives up to its name. Designed for ideal kite-surfing conditions, the project channels the force and sound of the wind. Four pitched-roof volumes appear swept across the site, anchored by wood walkways that follow the natural terrain.

Wrapped in weathered cedar, the cabins open widely to their surroundings. Decks extend like sails, and expansive glazing dissolves boundaries, inviting summer breezes inside. Within, whitewashed surfaces stretch the horizon, balanced by warm wood interiors.

Local materials, wood-burning fireplaces, and minimal site intervention reinforce a strong sense of place. The result is a retreat both raw and refined, tuned to wind, land, and water.

Cabane en liberté

System 02 repense le chalet alpin comme une structure modulaire et évolutive. Il allie robustesse et raffinement, conçu pour durer, s’adapter et relier l’humain à la nature.

En Colombie-Britannique, The Backcountry Hut Company s’est donné pour mission de rendre les chalets de villégiature simples, durables et accessibles en territoires isolés. System 02 incarne cette vision avec une structure préfabriquée de deux étages, inspirée des cabanes alpines mais conçue avec une précision contemporaine. Livré à plat pour un montage en régions reculées, il s’assemble dans des configurations allant de 64 à 170 m².

Ses grandes fenêtres et ses lignes épurées assurent une présence intemporelle. Construit avec du bois canadien certifié FSC, des cadres en lamellé-collé de sapin Douglas et des panneaux isolés, chaque chalet conjugue résilience et durabilité. Ici, le préfabriqué devient à la fois solide et élégant, une architecture pensée pour durer et nourrir un lien vivant avec la nature.

Cabin in Freedom

System 02 rethinks the alpine cabin as a modular and evolving structure. It combines robustness and refinement, designed to last, adapt, and connect people to nature.

In British Columbia, The Backcountry Hut Company aims to make retreat cabins simple, durable, and accessible in remote landscapes. System 02 reflects this vision through a two-story prefabricated structure inspired by alpine shelters and refined with contemporary precision. Delivered flat-packed for remote assembly, it can be configured from 64 to 170 m².

Large windows and clean lines give it a timeless presence. Built with FSC-certified Canadian wood, Douglas fir glulam frames, and insulated panels, each unit balances resilience and durability. Here, prefabrication becomes both solid and elegant, an architecture designed to endure and foster a lasting connection with nature.
