Good morning Van Isle and surrounding areas, so the last couple weeks I have been hitting the parks and rivers and estuaries from cedar to Nanaimo, cleaning up the areas of needles and drug paraphernalia.
Because summer is coming and the kids will be out in full force, whether it's playing, swimming or nature walking, these areas need to be cleaned up every year, I have been doing this every year for several years and I always seem to end up with a little more every year.
Bowen park still holds number 1 place for needles mostly unused this year but still number1.
Alot of the estuaries were full of needles this year around Nanaimo even a few cedar.
Nanaimo river there was quite a few this year which was sad to see.
I am still not quite done all the areas yet in Nanaimo and surrounding areas but this is what I have gotten so far way over a thousand I stop counting and I will do a final count when I am finished.
It's all about keeping our children and the animals safe along with nature,I hope everyone enjoys their weekend,be safe and enjoy life!
