We have created a wonderful partnership with ADP and can help you and your company save money on payroll services. Even if you are a sole proprietor by using payroll processing, your taxes come off with each paycheque and you are not hit with a huge bill at the end of the year to the CRA.

If you have any questions, please feel free to DM us anytime and have a wonderful weekend :)

The Ontario government has just introduced a new program called the Digitalization Competence Centre (DCC), which helps companies transition and find made-in-Ontario digital solutions with expert guidance, training, and up to $115,000 in targeted grants.

The province is investing $5 million to support the Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP), which helps businesses assess their digital needs and work with a consultant to create a customized plan.

Through DMAP, companies can receive a grant of up to $15,000 to match private investment that supports planning for technology investments. Companies that have completed a DMAP project are eligible for additional funding through the Technology Demonstration Program, which includes a grant of up to $100,000 to match private investment in purchasing and installing new technologies that support business growth and create jobs.

We do know one of the people who is involved in this, so if you would like us to set up a meeting for you, please feel free to DM us anytime.

I just received the September numbers for the number of 911 transfer requests in Ottawa to other jurisdictions across North America. There were 76 in September. From mid-November to the end of September, there have been 773 call transfer requests.

That adds up to over 2 families calling and requesting emergency support in another city a day.

I am so happy to have worked with the City of Ottawa to help everyone here going through an extremely difficult time and I am dedicated to making it available across Canada.

If you can believe it, two months have passed and my 911 petition will be closing tomorrow. I needed 500 signatures for it to become official and to be presented in the House of Commons. I am so happy to share that it is currently at 624 signatures. The signatures are across ten provinces with over 500 in Ontario.

If you would still like to sign it, it would mean more than you will ever know as it is all in memory of my brother. Emergency calls across Canada need to be transferrable and people who can not pick up the phone need to be able to text 911 in an emergency/life or death situation.

I am determined to get this done and it is thanks to you and your overwhelming kindness.

I thought I would just add this quick update to my efforts to have 911 updated across Canada.

A few months ago after speaking with Minister St-Onge's office, I was contacted by a higher-up at the CRTC to sit in on their monthly board meetings regarding updating the service. The CRTC is the government division that oversees 911.

It was brought forward to me that the Canadian Chiefs of Police, Fire and Ambulance are the ones that have filed all the paperwork to have the March 2025 mandate moved to 2026-2027.

The CRTC read the story on my efforts in The Wire and contacted me yesterday saying they have re-opened the intervention portal for me only/personally to put forward the case as to why the mandated deadline can not be extended.

I am beyond honoured and a little shocked that this is my life right now but I love it. I have never filed a former government intervention before and I have until September 11 to do so.

Again, thank you all for your never-ending support and know there is not an ounce of quit in me and we will get this done. Enjoy all the changes in this life. Everything happens so fast.

As I (Michael Wood) continue to push for 911 to be updated faster across Canada in memory of my brother I have just been given the July 2024 number for call transfer requests from the City of Ottawa

Since mid-November when I teamed up with them to the end of July, there have been 594 call transfer requests across North America.

Thank you to Ottawa City Councillor David Hill for bringing me before the committee twice. All of this helps play a role in saving lives. The updates need to be mandated so people such as women in a domestic violence situation can text 911 for immediate help. Nowhere in Canada can anyone text for police, ambulance or fire services in 2024.

I am once again going to ask you to sign the Parliamentary Petition that I have created to have 911 updated across Canada as we all have friends and family across our wonderful country. I am currently only 5 signatures off of 400!

The Petition is here to sign and please share - https://www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-5069

Lastly, here are what the overall numbers look like for Ottawa 911 call transfer requests:

Implemented Mid-November 2023 - 40
December 2023 - 62
January 2024 - 75
February 2024 - 55
March 2024 - 48
April 2024 - 71
May 2024 - 84
June 2024 - 75
July 2024 - 84

Have a great weekend everyone :)

As I continue to negotiate with all levels of government, across all political parties regarding the desperate need to update 911, I am thrilled to share that CTV's (National talk show) has invited me on the show this Friday at 8:07 AM to discuss what needs to happen.

I have regular meetings with the amazing team in the office of the Ontario Solicitor General (MPP ) His Chief of Staff, Creed Atkinson has been so wonderful. Last week I was added to a two-hour panel discussion with the CRTC regarding updating 911 across Canada and yesterday I met with MP Philip Lawrence ()

We will get 911 updated across Canada before the mandated 2025 which appears likely that it will be pushed to 2026 if not later, if it is the last thing I ever do. Canadians deserve complete access to emergency services.

Today I received the number of 911 call transfer requests for the month of April that the City of Ottawa has received. With the April numbers being 76 requests, that makes the total 351 since I worked with the city to forward the much-needed change implemented in mid-November.

As Ottawa is the only city in Ontario where calls can be transferred, I have been working with the office of the Solicitor General of Ontario and the Ontario Commissioner of Emergency Management to update the entire province.

Families need these updates. We are in a mental health crisis and all resources have to be made available. I will update you as the process continues for those with friends and families outside of Ottawa.
