Grateful to be a part of Business by Referral Ottawa over the last several years. It's a pleasure to be a part of a group of local small business owners to expand our network and learn from each other. The face behind it all!

Rebranded! Could not be more happy with the outcome. It was time to update. From new digital materials to business cards to social media to promo and graphics to use in my next presentation for Business by Referral Ottawa ! Waiting on the delivery now and can't wait. Had such a fun time at WordCamp Canada 2025 at Carleton University. Exciting and jam packed with speaker sessions, sponsor booths, and everything WordPress. Happy to make connections, share the experience and learn from others. A huge thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone I met. You were all so warming and friendly. Let's stay connected and always around to chat.

Excited to bring what I've learned to my community of clients and colleagues. An incredible wealth of information I'm still soaking in, but here's a couple of things that blew my mind:

Mastering SEO in the age of AI - Website SEO fundamentals for Google rankings are still very dominant, and will be for quite a while. AI chats and experiences still have a way to go, however it's already providing conversions for small businesses, even though it's a small percentage of the search market share (~8%, but was 0% only few years ago).

Accessibility and privacy will always be important for SMB's (Small and medium sized businesses). Incredibly important to keep on top of the latest legislation and requirements. Glad to have learned more about it and what to keep in mind for my client and personal projects.

An aside, the weather was beautiful around the campus. If you're ever near Carleton, check out the bridge over the Rideau River into Vincent Massey Park, such a gem.

And at the office, got to fill up my new white board with conference swag!
