Don't feed them leftovers from social media.

✨ Create exclusive offers and events just for your subscribers.

For the first client, it makes no different whether the email shows the pricing.

For the other client, however, not displaying the price almost *doubled* the email click rate.

This is why we A/B test. Every brand and business's audience is different. We keep testing to fine tune our emails to our audience.

What else can you test? You can test subject lines, test a long email vs. a short one, test graphic layout vs. a "text-based" format, test different call to actions etc.

Keep testing and keep fine tuning to get it just right!

Here are 3 common marketing mistakes made by brick-and-mortar and online shop owners. Want to guess less & sell more? Make sure you don’t make these mistakes:

Mistake #1: Not promoting your best sellers
Since you sell products, you’re talking about (aka promoting) your products most of the time. But are you talking about your most popular products? These are the ones that draw new people in and bring back returning customers.
Keep talking about your top selling products wherever you’re reaching potential customers – emails, social media, ads. Make sure your best sellers are part of your promotional offers. (And make sure your top sellers are giving you healthy margins)

Mistake #2: Not making marketing decisions based on data
It hurts to see many small business owners spend $$ on FB ads with nothing to show for. If you spend any amount of money on paid ads, you owe it to yourself to analyze the result.
Even when you’re relying on “free” channels to reach people, take advantage of analytics available to you to make better decisions.
If you have a brick-and-mortar store, get into the habit of asking new customers how they found out about your store.
If you have a website (sure you do), use Google Analytics to see where your website traffic and online sales are coming from. Pure Gold.

Mistake #3 Not having a plan
By now I’m sure you’ve ordered your holiday inventory. Kudos!
Do you have a plan on selling and promoting in Q4? BFCM is weeks away (scary I know). What are you going to promote and how are you going to let people know?
Having a solid plan now will save you from panicking later.

Yes you can – with a Collaborative Gift Guide.

Here’s what to do:

1. Invite complementary businesses to pick a product to be featured.

2. Put the entries together into an online gift guide and publish it on your website. November will be a good time to do so.

3. Email all the other stores and tag them on social media to encourage them to share the article with their audience.

Remember to feature products from your stores.

Collaboration takes time so start now if you haven’t already. It’s win-win-win for all!
