Had a great day with the power outage. I gotta say a little bit of a break from all the screens and notifications and a little more time hugging and talking with family.

Saw so many families and friends out and about today, it’s a great look for a he city.

We had a great time at the as usual and picked up our usual lion’s mane mushrooms from with a really special demonstration of some micro machines from Adré.

Maybe a regular disconnect day could help us reclaim some community connection. What do you think? Should we go without power from time to time?

Join the Four Tides Hospice Society for the Hike for Hospice on Saturday, May 23 from 10am–1pm at Willingdon Beach.

Walk, run, or bike the trail while supporting end-of-life and bereavement care in our region. Participate as an individual, form a team, or join virtually between May 23–30.

The day includes opening ceremonies, face painting, live music from the Beach Crashers, awards, baked goods by donation, treats, and prizes.

The event is already nearing its $20,000 fundraising goal, with just over $4,000 left to raise.
