August has been a blurry whirlwind. After Smokey disappeared at the end of July for a couple of nights (thankfully he wasn't far and we got him back!), my dear sweet Grandmother Dominie passed away a few days later. 💔

I've lost both of my beautiful Grandmothers now since my car accident (speaking of which, is 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 not resolved).

Seeing soo many of my wonderful family members, and those who haven't been home or together in the same room for years, was so heartwarming and needed! Endless yarning, laughter, shared memories, and new ones made. It's one of those feelings that you don't realize how much you need it, until you get it. 🙏🏻

It always gets people thinking you know, how it's usually a funeral and/or celebration of a life that brings everyone back around to each other again. It does the heart so good to reunite, but also makes me kind of sad that it’s such a rare occasion.

Lessons?
Appreciate your time here on Earth, and those you love that are here with you! Everything can change in an instant. Make your feelings clear and known.
Never hesitate to tell someone how much they mean to you, because knowing and hearing that can be all a family member or friend needs to hear to feel connected and close.
Show up when you can. Send a message if you can’t commit. Reaching out doesn’t need overthinking.

Life is hard enough, so spending time and staying in touch with those you love can help with that. I know I’d be nowhere good without my family, friends, and supports.

I’ve just been an emotional wreck this month, which is why I haven’t been so active here. It breaks my heart that my Grandmothers are no longer Earth-side with me, and I never got to know my two Grandfathers. They’re all together now and I keep picturing the four of them at a table, having tea and sharing their life stories. And their smiling faces when Nan Dominie reunited with them. For whatever reason that’s the visual my mind has drawn up. I’ll keep holding onto that for as long as it lasts. ☕️🫖🕊️

Justin didn’t get to come home to Ramea with me the other week, because his job is very unique and it wasn’t possible. But, Ramea is in the plans this coming weekend again, so we can both spend some time there together. My head and heart has been through it more than normal this month, so I’m very happy we can have a little “bay vacay” together to home. 🩵
