🤖 AI is probably ruining your branding 🤦‍♀️

AI is a great tool in some aspects, but when it comes to branding, AI takes a big L. 👎

Let’s focus on one aspect - fonts. Generative AI generates an image, and it considers the words to be part of the image.

Go to reuse that font, and you’ll find it doesn’t exist, meaning you’ll have to get AI to make a new image. And guess what? That font will change. Over and over again.

That kills your branding. With no specific font or colour scheme, people can’t relate styles and themes back to you, which means you lose out against businesses that keep that stuff tightly guarded. You lose recognition. You become background noise. 🙈

📱Social Media Tips📱

Growing your social media following organically takes time, and requires strategy. But you don’t have to be a TikTok dancer to do it! Here are 3 tips businesses can use today to do better online.

1. Currently, carousels and video are the top performers. Focus on those! It doesn’t have to be elaborate - even a short video of your team smiling and waving is better than a single graphic!

2. Keep the QR codes OUT of your posts 🙅‍♀️

3. If you’re going to use AI, don’t ask it to generate a picture of your products or your team. Just post pictures of those products! It will do way better than some AI rendering. Your team doesn’t need to look animated - it’s easier to build trust with real human connection!

3️⃣ Rules that Every Marketer Needs to Follow!

1. Every marketing strategy needs to have SEO built into it. Without good SEO, you don’t really have a fully built marketing strategy.

2. Quality over quantity every time! If you post 5-10 bad posts a week, that’s all you have - bad posts. 1-2 really high quality posts or videos provide more reliable results, and have a longer life on your feed. Don’t even get me started about spam emails!

3. Change your strategy 1 piece at a time. If you change too much at once, you don’t really know what worked and what didn’t, or why. Make one change, monitor the data, go from there.

🤖 The Do’s and Don’ts of Using AI for Social Media!

AI is changing rapidly, and this post will likely age out very quickly. But for today’s generative AI abilities, these are the rules every professional marketer (or business owner with a marketing hat) should follow.

DO: Use AI as a planning and brainstorming tool. AI is also great for resizing as long as you have some background in design to help guide it along. Remember to never use the copy directly from AI as it has the same “voice” as all other AI-made content. Let it help you brainstorm, then take the lead from there. This is a great time-saver!

DON’T: Use AI for generative graphics and images 🤦‍♀️ especially when your branding is in it! AI images all look more-or-less the same. Your brand speaks for you - why would you want the same branding as your competition?! You should protect your brand very closely. People-centric content is repeatedly out-performing AI generated content.
